Summary: Choi Minho just moved from one city to another and got himself a smart, popular, and beautiful girlfriend. Life was good. But the thing was- he suddenly found himself irrevocably attracted to his girlfriend's cute and lovable best friend.

Suzy stirred. A bright ray of sunlight disturbed her dreamless sleep as it shined through the white curtains of the room. She rubbed her eyes groggily and looked at her surroundings. The moment she realized that she wasn't in her bedroom, a wave of panic rushed through her; the now fully-awake girl shot up from bed. As she scrutinized the place even more though, she heaved a sigh of relief upon noticing that the place looked very familiar. It was one the guest rooms in Jinki's house.

"Oh, you're awake," Suzy turned at the voice, smiling at the person at the door. Key let himself inside the room and smiled back. "So you feeling better now? We didn't tell your parents about what happened yet 'coz we don't want them to worry so you'll have to- "

"Wait, wait what happened where?" She held her hand up to stop Key's speech and looked at him expectantly. She didn't recall anything that happened last night. All she remembered was how Minho shot the winning goal for their school.

"Ah, you don't remember..."

"Did I do anything embarrassing last night?! Did I spill anything? Did I get drunk? Did I puke on someone?!" Suzy now stood in front of Key, shaking his shoulders frantically.

"No, no, no! Will you calm down?!" Key grabbed her hands and lightly pushed them off his shoulder. "You didn't do any of those, you just accidentally drank a drug and passed out."

"Ugh! How can I accidentally drink a bad drink! I'm so stupidly unlucky," she rubbed her hands on her face and pouted. "I'm hungry." Key rolled his eyes at the girl's unorganized thoughts.

"Well let's go down then. There's breakfast downstairs."

"Where's Minho?" She suddenly pulled the door open and tried to look down the staircase in hopes of spotting her boyfriend. He should've stayed over as well right?

"You just missed him. He wanted to wait for you to wake up but he had somewhere urgent to go. He told me to call once you wake up though." Suzy smiled at that, even though her boyfriend was not here, she could still feel how he cared for her.

"Alright."

"Hey have you seen Jjong?" Minho talked into his phone. Yes, his 'urgent' business was to find that missing puppy who suddenly disappeared without a trace. The soccer player walked down the streets, eyes darting everywhere. Jonghyun had avoided him in the morning; the man didn't talk to Minho and even stayed as far away from him as possible. The tall teenager sighed in frustration- they were just together the night before! What could he have done wrong?

"Nope, why? He didn't tell you where he's going?" Taemin spoke from the other line. Their youngest went home after helping to clean up the mansion so he wasn't there with the rest of them in the morning. Minho thought that Jonghyun went to hang out with the guy.

"No, I didn't even notice him leave."

"Haha, what a ninja," Minho heard some shuffling from the other line before it went quiet again. "Have you tried calling him?"

"Yeah, he wouldn't pick up... uh I... I have a feeling he's ignoring me." Minho kicked at the small stones on the ground, a frown adorning his face.

"What did you do?!"

"Nothing! What can I do?!"

"I dunno! Then why is he avoiding you?!"

"I'd be wonderful if I knew myself!" The older man sighed once again.

"Ah, you know what. I'll try to call him, then I'll invite him out to Sweet Mill Cafe. Tell the other guys too, we'll meet you there kay?" Before Minho could get another word out, the other line was already cut off.

"Aish." The confused man closed his phone and kicked the stones again. What the hell did he do this time?

His phone rang seconds later and the brunet hurriedly picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Minho! Why the hell was your phone busy? I've been trying to call you a bunch of times!"

"Why? Is something wrong?" Minho asked in worry, he actually wished that the phone call was from Jonghyun but from Key's tone of voice, it seemed like something big happened.

"No, nothing Suzy woke up so I called you."

"Oh that's good then! She alright?" He continued on, uncaring of his phone bill. He needed to distract himself for now and talking with Key seemed like the perfect way to do so.

The jingling of bells lightly echoed around Sweet Mill Cafe as a small group of teens entered. Minho had managed to gather his thoughts and told Key to ask everyone to meet up at one of the teenage hotspots.

As expected, Jinki, Key, Suzy, and Minho were greeted by an enthusiastic Taemin sitting beside a seemingly detached Jonghyun. The man kept his head down, both ears plugged with earphones as he scrolled through his music selection.

Minho tentatively neared Jonghyun, making sure to stare at the other man long enough for him to feel the stare. Unfortunately, Minho didn't get the desired effect as the blonde merely fidgeted in his seat and proceeded to text people; giving him yet another excuse to keep his head down.

"So anyone wanna order?" Taemin broke the silence once everyone was in hearing range. He waved the small menu around and gained a chuckle from Jinki.

"Come on Taeminnie, it's not like we need the menu!" He picked the menu from the maknae's hand and returned it neatly on the table. "I'll go get the orders, what do you guys want?"

"I'll get some of the orders too," Minho offered, wanting to be the one to hand Jonghyun his order- just for the sake of some interaction.

Everyone- except Jonghyun- quickly recited their orders and made sure their two friends remembered the exact details.

"Cappuccino with caramel shreds! Not chocolate, remember that!"

"No whipped cream!"

"Lots of whipped cream for me hyung!"

Jinki and Minho nodded their heads, a look of concentration on their faces as they tried to remember which drink was whipped or caramel or not. They walked to the cashier still with the determined looks on their faces.

"They didn't even ask what Jonghyun wanted." The amused Key stated.

"I guess they both already know what he wanted. No need to ask... " Taemin mumbled, burying his face behind the cafe menu; a thoughtful look on his face.

Suzy looked at him briefly before deciding to brush the comment off, fishing out her phone and fiddling with the buttons. Worry, once again, clouded her mind upon realizing that once everyone left her alone with Minho, it would give him the perfect opportunity to talk with her. She didn't know why but she had a bad feeling about this talk.

"Coming through!" Jinki and Minho returned to their table a few minutes later, both holding a metal tray filled with cups full of sweet beverage. They then proceeded to hand everyone their respective drinks until Minho was only left with a strawberries and crème frappuccino with crushed M&M chocolates mixed in it and Jinki was left with a cup of white hot chocolate.

"Here you go." They murmured at the same time, placing the drinks in front of a startled Jonghyun. The latter blinked, removing the earphones from his ears and staring up at the two men in front of him.

"Err- " Minho and Jinki simultaneously scratched the back of their heads, looking at each other.

"Jonghyun's- "

"Yeah, I thought it was kinda cold today so I bought the hot drink- "

"I kinda thought it was pretty warm so- "

"It's okay, thanks." Jonghyun interrupted the men's awkward babbling, grabbing both of the drinks in each of his hands and pulling them towards himself. "The cold drink will even out the hot one, thanks guys!" He smiled brightly, grabbing a spoon to scoop up some of the whipped cream. Jinki and Minho tentatively sat in their seats, clearing their throats before sipping at their own drinks.

Key, not fond of silence, decided to break it by starting a conversation about the soccer game the day before. The others quickly engaged themselves in conversation, excluding Jonghyun who mostly kept to himself the whole time. Suzy sat almost as quietly as her best friend as she watched Minho's actions worriedly. It hurt her how Minho obviously adored Jonghyun.

Taemin glanced at Jonghyun from the corner of his eyes. It was uncharacteristic of the older man to remain so quiet especially after receiving so much dose of sugar from the drinks given to him. Speaking of the drinks, it seemed like Jinki and Minho both remembered how Jonghyun liked his drinks- it just so happened that one chose the blonde's preferred cold drink while the other chose Jonghyun's favorite hot beverage. The youngest's narrowed eyes zoomed in on Minho before switching to Jinki, and finally landing on Jonghyun. He felt something weird going on between his friends. Taemin's thought process was interrupted by the sound of a cellphone's loud ringing.

"Hello?" Suzy flipped her phone open after the fourth ring. "Yeah?" The only girl in the group stood up and walked to the bathroom for privacy. The others continued their chattering.

"Guys I have a joke!" Taemin declared cheerfully. The older men raised their eyebrows and paid full attention to their jubilant maknae. "Ok so what do you call a cheese that isn't yours?" The spectators stayed silent and looked at each other for answers. Taemin stayed smiling until one of them responded.

"What?" Jinki finally offered.

"Nacho cheese!" Taemin answered happily. "Get it? Not-cho-cheese?!" He continued, laughing at his own joke as he slapped the table with his palms. Key looked pained for a moment before he, too, burst out in laughter. Minho chuckled lowly, his laughter coming purely from watching his friends laugh rather than at the joke itself. Jinki had a huge grin on his face as he watched the seemingly morose Jonghyun crack a smile.

"What's so funny?" Inquired an amused Suzy. She saw Key wiping tears from the corner of his eyes while Minho just shook his head slightly. Taemin propped his chin on his upturned hands and smiled at her.

"Wanna hear another joke?" Without even answering, Key burst out in another round of laughter. The others looked on- bewildered- but couldn't help but laugh along. "See? I haven't even said anything and they already laugh. I'm just too funny." Taemin mumbled confidently, drawing another round of laughter.

"Seriously guys, get a hold of yourselves," Suzy stated, laughing along. "I'd love to join in more of the fun but I gotta go; there's an emergency meeting for student council and I'm needed. See ya later guys!" The pretty girl gathered her belongings and started to head out the door. Minho, who had calmed down by that time, quickly stood up and followed her steps.

"Wait! Suzy!" The brunette closed her eyes and tried to even out her breathing. She was getting more paranoid by the moment. She felt that her relationship with Minho was hanging on such a breakable thread; but she still wasn't willing to let go.

Meanwhile, Minho was having the same thoughts. His relationship with Suzy had started abruptly. At first, he felt like he didn't belong in the new city and seeked comfort in the fact that Suzy had shown interest in him. Of course at the time he felt himself attracted to her as well; she was beautiful after all. Back in that time, he had not realized the mistake they had made- they flew too high, too fast. He didn't even know Suzy as well as he would like to. He just got a little carried away and now felt horrible for ending up hurting Suzy with the decisions he made.

"Ah, did I forget to say bye to you?" Suzy asked sweetly, she purposely didn't give him a goodbye kiss or even a hug, hoping to get a reaction out of him. Besides, she was still a little ruffled by all the attention that Minho lavished on her best friend. Suzy reached out for her boyfriend intending to hug him but was stopped by his firm grip.

"Suz, I think," Minho began, swallowing his nerves. "I think we should you know, ta- "

"I really gotta hurry Min, they're waiting for me and they can't start without the president!" Suzy easily pulled away from Minho's now loose grip.

"But Suzy! Please just a minute!"

"I really gotta go!" She hurriedly responded, nearly running towards the train station. Minho tried to follow but cars suddenly increased in number and he wasn't able to cross quickly enough to catch up to Suzy's rushed steps.

"Suzy! Tomorrow morning at 7! Meet me in the music room before school starts!" He yelled over the traffic noise, hoping against hope that Suzy had heard him. Minho had a feeling that Suzy knew what was coming; she just didn't want to accept it.

Minho took a few minutes to calm himself before returning inside the cafe. Once there, he instantly realized that another person was missing from their spot.

"Where's Jjong?" Was automatically out of his mouth before he could stop himself. Taemin was the one who answered, unfazed.

"He left, something about bakery and money."

"What? How? I was just in front of the do- "

"There are two exits." Key supplied helpfully.

"Damn." Minho grabbed his drink and hurried out of the cafe, hoping to catch Jonghyun. He seemed to be doing a lot of chasing today.

"Where are you going?" He managed to hear Jinki yell at him.

"I gotta tell him something!" He tried to answer back, head turned slightly backwards as he exited through the door.

"Jonghyun!" Minho let out a breath of relief once he spotted Jonghyun's back turning a corner; he followed the blonde in the deserted shortcut. "Jjong!" He saw the other male freeze for a moment before relaxing and stopping his trek. The tall athlete caught up with him and was glad that Jonghyun wasn't running away.

"Sup Minho?" The smaller man asked calmly- as if he didn't just avoid Minho the whole morning.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" Minho retorted, trying his luck and stepping closer to Jonghyun.

"What? I don't get it." The blonde chuckled, stepping backwards. The taller man frowned but stopped moving nonetheless. He found it weird that his friend stepped away from him as Jonghyun was usually the one invading people's personal space.

"Why are you avoiding me? Did I do something wrong?" Minho backtracked to their last normal conversation and couldn't recall anything that he might have done wrong. In fact, he could even remember Jonghyun sending him that sweet smile of his before they parted.

"I'm not avoiding you, it's all in your head." Another uneasy chuckle.

"Yes, yes you are." Minho prodded, moving closer once more. Jonghyun startled in front of him and hurriedly took backward steps, failing to catch himself before tripping over a stray rock.

"Ow!"

"You okay?!" The brunet quickly leaned down to help Jonghyun up. "Why are you so clumsy?" He mumbled, seizing the smaller male's wrists to pull him off the ground. Once upright, Minho could feel Jonghyun trying to tug his hands away.

"Um c-can we talk about this some other time? I gotta work- " Jonghyun stuttered, eyes focused on Minho's large hands around his wrists. The bigger man kept his hold, unwilling to let go.

"There's no work today." Minho responded lowly, feeling frustrated. Nothing had gone right for him the whole day!

"I do. Y-you don't."

"Don't lie to me."

"I'm not lying! Will you please let go?!" Jonghyun tried to keep his voice to a minimum, no need for people thinking that there was a street fight going on. However, Minho ignored the request.

"Not until you tell me why you've been avoiding me!"

"I'm not!"

"Yes you are! Do you know how it feels like to be ignored by one of your best friends and having no idea what you did wrong?!" Minho yelled, losing the remaining of his temper. He looked into Jonghyun's sparkling eyes and instantly regretted losing control. Then again, it felt good to release his true emotions as well.

"This. This is wrong." Jonghyun whispered, his warm breath ghosting over Minho's chin. It was then that the brunet realized how close their faces were. Eyes still glued to the big brown eyes, the taller of the two leaned down and unconsciously loosened his hold on the other.

"What are you talking about?" Minho responded just as quietly, his loose hold moving from the blonde's wrist up to his hands all the while he leaned even closer. He could see the other man's eyes widening but right now, with the other so close, he really couldn't care less.

Jonghyun stayed silent for a few moments, eyes roaming about Minho's face before he bit his lips and pushed against the taller's chest. He didn't know how to tell Minho that they were wrong. Heck he didn't even want to tell Minho that they were wrong. He should have seen this coming, what with them getting closer every minute. He should have just stayed away from the beginning to avoid this mess.

What mess?

That's right, it didn't happen yet. He could still fix this.

With a deep inhale, Jonghyun made a decision, ignoring the painful clench in his chest.

"Where's Suzy?" Minho blinked at the sudden turn in topic.

"She went to a meeting." The brunet answered dazedly. He still reveled at how warm the other felt in his arms; how close their lips were to meeting.

"Don't you think you should be spending more time with her? Like go out on dates and stuff?" Jonghyun continued, trying to ignore Minho's saddened expression. "I mean, I'm just the best friend. It's not the same with it being you guys together."

"I- "

"You guys are good together you know."

"But Jong-"

"You really should try harder to fix whatever-"

"Stop!" Jonghyun promptly shut his mouth and lowered his eyes to the ground. "What if I don't want to fix anything?"

"Don't say that. Suzy's your girlfriend," he swallowed back his emotions. "You should stop upsetting her." With that, Jonghyun turned around and walked away. He clenched his eyes shut and berated himself for crying so easily.

He made a decision indeed.

And he had no idea what heartbreak felt like until now.

Minho stared at the ground blankly, letting Jonghyun walk away from him. With a shaky breath, he looked up at the dim sky as he ran long fingers through his hair.

It was clear what Jonghyun tried to tell him. But it seems like his heart was too stubborn to reciprocate what his brain told him. Dejectedly, he turned and walked the opposite way his heart told him to. He figured both he and Jonghyun needed time to sort out their thoughts.

Rubbing his face irately, the tall teenager slumped down against a wall, ignoring the strange looks bestowed upon him. Tears prickled his eyes as he realized how helpless his situation really was. His talk with Suzy somehow kept getting postponed while Jonghyun tossed his heart around, completely in control of what would become of them in the future.

Rubbing the moisture out of his eyes, Minho made a decision.

He was lovestruck and was not willing to give it up.

So who still remembers this story? I wouldn't be surprised if no one did =[ so who still remembers what happened last chapter? haha
It's disappointing how long I took to update! Ugh but anyway, to those who still read, thank you!

And I will finish this story, I like writing it even if other things sometimes prevent me from doing so. Not planning on abandoning it!
