My friend and I went to watch Forbidden Kingdom 12 AM, Friday. No surprise that we were kinda disappointed over the film. My friend said the movie seemed too kiddy. It just reinforced some of the Asian stereotypes in film, imo. ^_^;
I'll admit that I actually know some of the references made to other Chinese martial art films, i.e. The Bride with White Hair, Journey to the West. It's mainly because I remember watching Journey to the West as a kid. As for The Bride with White Hair, I've only seen it recently but some parts of that movie are romantic mushy yet it made sense to have it.
Classes are progressing smoothly, but I think I'll want to sign up for summer classes to cover general studies. And it's a possibility that I might be having second thoughts about attending ASU next year. Although it's due to me still figuring out the major I want to pursue, money does play a big issue as well. I have not taken on a student loan at all since I started at ASU, and would prefer to keep it that way.
Now I sleep, with plans of seeking classes for the summer and fall as well as watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
