Well, I did a similar association just as you did...
WWII + Kanda + SS uniform + books to burn + Lavi&Bookman... And I could immediately see in the air a big "YOU WIN" written with fire^^ XDDDDDD

Oh, you don't know how much I wanted to be there to actually SEE Bookman face while looking his beloved record BURNING TO HELL XDDD
But, first, he wasn't looking =_= Second, Kanda couldn't care less to make him witness the crime.
Yes, Sokalo instead had put Bookman in the 1st row, I know, drinking wine meanwhile putting the book piles on fire, but he's Mexican, and Mexico joined the Axis way after the war bursted out. More, he couldn't be a German officer. In fact Tiedoll couldn't be one too, but he's French, it's easier to believe he was maybe born in Germany from French parents or something.
And trust me, we NEED Tiedoll to be there...
Anyways at that time Nazism was just at its beginning, and the SS wasn't that more than a police corp, they fully joined the soldiers on the battlefield later on, after 1945. So I mean Tiedoll to be one of those good soldiers whom joined the German army for the nation's sake, and then found themselves trapped into the Nazi's rising power. One of those men who remained in the Nazi's army nonetheless with the goal to save some people if they could^^""

Klaud Nine is American, she's on the opposite front... Sadly. We have no less than Howard Link for the Axis instead. =_=
(Yes I kept all their nationalities.)

You can rely on me, I'd rather kill myself than separate or kill Kanda and Lavi^^

Ah, the concentration camp... But hell no, not for Lavi XD

I will do my best to add more descriptions in further chapters, and actually I'm waiting for the second one (that is on beta right now), but well... XD You have to know that both the chapters were on beta since November 2009^^"" Annette Aoi had an incredible chain of misfortune (including her laptop that broke) and she gave me this 1st chapter back just a couple of days ago. I really hope nothing else happens now O_O

About spelling, is it possible that Open Office spell check fails? I run all through it, and it said all the words were correct. Also the chapter was betaed. O_O
Which words are wrong?

Haha, absolutely!

Alright then, that makes sense I guess. I just have trouble picturing Tiedoll in a war, but.. He does have a tougher side, and he's also similar to Kanda in some points (like mission being first priority rather than his own well being). If you pull it off, cudos to you. :3

Ah, so you want to stay true to everyone's nationalities. But just like everyone was gathered in England for the Black Order, it could be the same with a war - there were people of different nations in command in the concentration camps, for example. Still your choice makes sense, so I'm not arguing against it.

Hooray! Happy ending! (Also are/will you be uploading this to FFnet?)

Alright then, good luck~ And wow, that does suck. Well, you could always ask more people for help? :3 Maybe someone has enough free time.

I have no idea - maybe it corrects the spelling, but not sentence structure? For example this: "Like it or not, we're take those books." - it should be either "we're takING", or "we're GOING TO take". 0.0

O_O I know it can't correct sentence structure, I was trusting the beta for that........ I think Annette is just too busy lately and she wasn't too much into it? I can't blame her, though^^
I wrote "We'll take" and she corrected with "We're take" XD she forgot to add the "ing" thing in XD And of course I didn't notice ^^"" Because I checked what she changed to understand my errors^^

It's that I already gave to Saxon-Jesus a new thing, and I was about to send them another one... so I can't ask them for this one too XD

It seems that lately I'm on a translation raptus XD

I will write a note while posting here another of my stories (the one betaed by Saxon-Jesus) and we'll se if someone offers to beta XD

And, yes, I uploaded this story first on FF.net to tell the truth, and, about a day after, here.

The story is half complete, I have a third chapter I already started to translate, and then I should add some scenes, but the plot is all decided and the ending already written XD
But I still could decide to change something if some of the readers will give a good hint XD I still have to write quite a number of parts.
It's that I SO MUCH wanted to make Kanda burn those books that I started the story too early for the war, and then jumped years here and there to have it bursting out... Now I want to fill those holes. *nods*

Well, shit happens. XD

Yeah, that's a good idea. :3 Someone might volunteer, this is a good story~

Could you link me to your FFnet, maybe? I don't remember if I've been there before. ;__;

Haha, that's good news~ And I'll be looking forward to that, so keep that work up as long as you're not overworking~ : D

XD

Here's the link:

And, Hoshino hates my guts, I know it... Because there's NO Italian in there. There's even a Korean and a Turkish, but no Italian. So I miss a part of the Axis XD Then I'll claim Italian those whose nationality is UNKNOWN XD

But besides that, even if I didn't look deep into it, I believe that all the Commanders of the Concentration Camps were chosen between the local soldiers, or were from the main nations forming the Axis (Germay/Austria-Italy-Japan) so they couldn't possibly be from the minor allies who joined later just for the terror that Nazis could conquer them. That's why I think Sokalo is out of the question for such a thing, he may be in command of some soldiers during the war, but he can't be in Germany or Italy before it burst out.

OMG I'm already overworking, and also I'm sleep-deprived >_<
I sometimes overestimate me^^"" I took 3 stories to write so close in deadlines and I worked hard on the last of them until like 3 days ago XD And now I have a Pirate story whose deadline is March 25th (and because of that when I read Toss's meme I was like O_______O XD) and a quite interesting one about a Dystopia^^ I think that that in D.Gray-man universe something like that is really a quite desperate scenario, so I took the challenge XD The deadline for this one is May 9th, so I think I'll have some time to take care of the translations the first 15 days af April XD
Even if I confess I'm messing around them now while I should write the Pirate story XDDDDD
And because of that I already know I'll be MORE sleep-deprived around the deadline XDDDD

Thanks~

Aw! That's strange though.. Well, there's Bookman with an unknown nationality. XD

Well, complete Commanders maybe, but the slightly lower ranks that could still boss prisoners around sometimes were from not even allied nations..like Polish and Russian and etc. But whatever floats your boat~

Wow O__O That's awesome! And your stories sound really interesting too. But maybe you shouldn't work on it at the cost of your sleep. XD Health is important too~
