Comments: I dedicate this story to  bloodwolfgirl cause I fail and suck so much when trying to write pure fluffiness so I hope this is acceptable. I'm sorry I'm late ): Ahh well, the 1st chapter is kinda cute, so it should make you smile at least a little hunny. :'DD I hope you like it.♥ &&Screw the one shot idea. I've had some crazy dream with so many events happening... and now I'll try to fit them into here and make a looonger story. I think writing this will be fun. :')
Enjoy mah dears.♥

''Watch out!''

The frightened tone of the stranger's voice rang in my ear drums but there was no time to even turn my head as something hard and heavy crashed into my side, the impact throwing me to the ground where my palms and knees met the warm asphalt. My vision went white for a short moment and I felt slightly lightheaded.

''Ah, I'm so sorry! Are you alright?''

Someone stood beside me and from the corner of my eye I saw a hand extending to help me up. But I couldn't move. My legs wouldn't obey me. As I only responded with harsh gasps the person crouched next to me, taking one of my hands. A burning sensation rushed through the nerves and I flinched away, holding the stinging palm in front of my face to examine it. It was covered with scratches and a few droplets of red began to run down the aching flesh.

''Oh no, your knees too!''

Switching my gaze from the boy's panicked look to my knees I finally realized then as well. Both of my knees were bleeding. There was already a dark mark creating on the ground. Blood. There was blood all over me.
Spilling from my knees and hands...
No comforting whispers and no gentle touches on my back would help him now.
Looking up with watering eyes it only took an uneasy smile of his. A strangled sob left my lips and I lost it.

.
.
.
''There you go. Good thing I always have a couple of those with me, huh? You can get hurt easily after all...''
Covering my injured knee with the last plaster, he looked up at me with an apologetic look. Somehow he had managed to gather my trembling body up in his arms, my weak self being too busy creating pained whines and streams of tears to even notice as he lifted me up to bring us both to a green colored bench nearby. He reached out to wipe the last remains of my ugly tears away and I looked elsewhere, not being used to such gentle actions. No laughing, no finger- pointing, this boy was different from the kids I had to deal with every day. The broken skate board of his then caught my attention and I felt fear coiling in the pit of my stomach. Maybe he hadn't fully realized it yet. There was no way someone would not get angry over having his skate board broken due to a stupid child not paying attention to the street. I knew I was going to regret this but still, a small hand raised to point at the broken pieces and I saw the older boy following my motion.

''Your skate board... I broke it.''

A laugh passed his curling lips and he shook his head before redirecting his gaze towards my dumbfounded expression, arm still held up in the air.

''Don't be silly. I'm the one who hasn't learned yet how to properly stop that thing. Also, you're the only one who got hurt so I'm the only one who should be apologizing.''

Insecurity and doubt wouldn't leave my face though and a couple of moments later which were filled with simply giving each other stares, he sighed and reached out to ruffle my black hair. The slightly rough but casual action made me yelp and slap his hand away at which he only laughed at me.

''Now stop giving me that look. My parents will be mad since I only got it last week for my birthday but they won't kill me. And I surely won't beat you up for it. So you can as well relax now.''

He smiled and finally stood up from his kneeling position on the ground to have a seat next to me on the bench.

''So how old are you?''

''I'm... eight...''

''Seriously? I just turned nine.''

I gaped at him in shock, jaw almost hitting the asphalt. There was no way that boy was merely a year older than me. Heck, he was at least fifteen centimeters taller than me. He managed to carry me several hundred meters. Numerous cartoons and series that I regularly watched flooded my mind then. Was he... related to the Power Rangers or something?

''There's no way! I thought... y-you were at least another two years older! You're way... taller... and stronger than me...''

He snorted, amusement dancing within his orbs as he flicked my forehead only to earn another slap from me.

''No, I think you're just shorter and weaker than other kids your age, kid. ''

I tried to glare at him as deadly as possible, my hands turning into small fists but I knew better than to land a punch on his face. There were still things I wanted to do in life and I couldn't afford it, to be beaten into a wheelchair user already.

''Don't speak to me like an adult. We're almost the same. You're simply... too huge for your age.''

The playful smile wouldn't leave his lips, rather it turned to a smirk and he suddenly winked at me.

''But huge is always good. And the girls like it too...''

I blinked in confusion, not comprehending in the slightest what he meant, so I only answered with sticking my tongue out in an annoyed manner.

''Girls are yucky, so I don't care. Hmpfh.''

''Haha, you're amazing little one! I already like you!''

Ehh... ?... like... ?
I felt the annoyance slowly fading as he continued to look a me with that goofy but serene smile of his. Moments later I ducked my head to let the dark bangs cover part of my face which was burning up with embarrassment. I just didn't know... it felt strange, interacting that openly with another child. But I couldn't stop the smile spreading on my lips as I realized that maybe this boy could be my first real friend. If he would even want to see me again after today...

''Hey... I was thinking. I could buy you an ice cream as an apology. Sounds good?''

I looked up to see him nodding towards the small ice cafe just a small distance away. I loved ice cream. More than anything. Well, almost, my pink plush bunny still came first. And even though he sounded honest about the offer, I didn't want to bother him to even spend money on me. He had already been kind enough to patch me up instead of leaving me alone crying on the street. He must've noticed my inner struggle as I kept staring between him and the cafe and with a 'I'm sure you like chocolate, ne?' he had already rushed past me, approaching the cafe slightly hopping. It took him only a minute to return and before I had time to react, the ice cream cone was already pushed into my right hand and he flashed a big grin at me.

''Eat up before it starts melting!''

I nodded once, whispering a small 'thank you' without meeting his eyes and lifted the cone to give the ice cream a first lick.
Ahhh... so yummy... yummy, yummy, yummy... A wide smile formed on my lips as I continued eating and the other boy sat down again, continuing to look at me from the side. As minutes passed and I was already half way finished, I turned my head to see that he was still staring. Not at me anymore, more particularly at the cone. I finally caught on then. Holding the ice cream right in front of his face, I chuckled as his eyes widened and his tongue darted out to unconsciously lick his lips.

''You also want some, don't you?''

He looked into my questioning eyes but then averted my gaze with a slight shook of his head.

''No, it's  alright. I bought it as an apology. It's for only you.''

''But I want to share with you.''

''But that... would make it an indirect kiss.''

Indi-... what?
As I only stared at him dumbly, he snorted and continued talking.

''When a boy and girl share an ice cream, they have an indirect kiss. Since their tongue and lips touch the same thing.''

''But... ehhh? We're both guys and not a couple, it shouldn't matter then!''

''Two guys... isn't it even weirder that way?''

''Ah, I was just trying to be nice since you look like you're gonna tackle me down any second! Forget it then!''

I opened my mouth dramatically wide, as if I was going to eat the rest at once and it didn't even take a second for the cone to suddenly disappear from my hand and find a new place in the elder's. I grinned knowingly as I watched the other nibbling on the cone, clearly satisfied.

''Oh. So there's no problem with kissing me after all, huh?''

''Shut up. No one can deny chocolate ice cream.''

''Well I kno~ow.''

He returned my amused smile as he swallowed down the last bit of the ice cream, licking his fingers clean after that.

''So... do you also have a name? I don't think you want me to keep calling you little one, ne?''

''It's... well, you can call me Taka...''

''Taka-chan it is? That's cute! I'm Akira but I want you to call me A-chan alright?''

''A... -chan... ?''

''Hmm... ?''

''A-chan...''

''Pfft, you're weird you know.''

His laughing only got louder as he saw me pouting at him. Akira then reached out and lightly squeezed my left shoulder and I found myself tensing again at the contact.

''But I guess, that's what I like about you. So will I see you tomorrow again?''

''You... y-you want to s-see me again?''

His eyes widened disbelievingly at the tone of my voice and he stood up in front of my, hands resting on his hips.

''Of course! We're friends now right? So it's just natural to meet again. And don't worry, tomorrow there will be no skate board to knock you over.''

I covered the slight chuckling passing my lips with a palm as I still felt bad for the broken skate board.

''Okay, then we will meet again... in this place?''

''Yeah I think that's good. We can go to the park then to play if you want.''

''I'D LOVE TO! Ah.''

I quickly covered my mouth with both hands, embarassed over my sudden outburst as my cheeks were heating up again but Akira did nothing but smile softly. He ruffled my hair yet again, but in a softer way than before.

''I have to go home now. It's already dinner time and my parents will be mad if I'm late. Until... tomorrow then, ne?''

Suddenly his black bangs were tickling the side of my face as he stepped forward and wound his arms around me to envelop me in a tight hug. Before I could respond in any way, not that I would've been capable of anything as I found my body freezing and my breath stopping at his action, his warmth had already left me and after picking up the pieces of his skate board he flashed me a smile over his shoulder before making his way down the street.

I then also left the bench to start walking towards my own home but as my gaze turned skyward, I realized how truly late it already was, which left me running all the way home. About fifteen minutes later I had already reached it, holding my aching sides, short gasps leaving my mouth as I felt my stomach churning at the thought of my parents. They would be mad for me being late. Only moments after ringing the bell with a trembling hand, the door opened to reveal my father. No greeting was shared as his eyes turned into slits at the sight of me and I was yanked inside as he grabbed the collar of my shirt. My body was shaking with fear as he dragged me all the way to the kitchen where I found my mother sitting at the table. She stood up as she saw me beside my father, clear anger showing in her dark orbs.

''You were supposed to be back a lot sooner!! Also, where are the groceries I told you to buy!?''

'' I ... I was-''

''And what's with those plasters!? Did you get into a fight?! IS THAT YOUR NEW WAY OF REBELLING AGAINST OUR ORDERS!?!''

''N-no! I... mom-''

The sound of a slap echoed in the small kitchen and my palm shot up to the stinging cheek, my vision blurring as tears started to form in my eyes. My father then switched his grip to my hair as he pulled me towards the stairs, releasing the strands and pushing me me onto them, myself crying out as my knee made contact with the edge of the third step.

''Go upstairs. We don't want to see you for the rest of the day. Also, you're not going anywhere tomorrow, you got that?''

There was no strength left to answer, I only nodded rapidly before quickly making my way upstairs where my room was situated. As the door closed behind me I saw no need to hold back, not bothering to turn on any light. Thick lines of clear liquid started spilling and I sank to the floor, back against the door, head on my knees and arms wrapped around my legs. It was nothing new. I had dealt with it so many times already.
And yet... yet I always ended up the same, never having the power to not turn into a sobbing mess.

''Until... tomorrow then, ne?''

A... -chan...

No more. :x I guess this chapter is a bit silly but... they're still young, they had to meet... the 2nd chapter will pick up on the ending of this but after that, they will get older with each chapter. And this may seem very AU, BUT once they're old enough I will include GazettE and everything else, just with the difference that Taka and Aki have known each other for a whiiiile longer, ne? I hope... this turned out okay... I have a lot on my mind to write so I hope you will enjoy reading this story :')
