活動休止中のYUI、他アーティストへ初の楽曲提供
昨年11月に発売したアルバム『MY SHORT STORIES』の発表をもってテレビ出演やライブなどの活動を一時的に休止している歌手のYUIが、沖縄で結成され、同11月にシングル「ヒトヒラのハナビラ」でメジャーデビューした10代の3人組ガールズバンド・ステレオポニーの作曲を手掛けることがわかった。楽曲は「I do it」で4月に発売。YUIが他のアーティストに楽曲を提供するのは初めて。
YUI, who released the album "My Short Stories", and who has had several television appearances and concert lives before having a hiatus, has played a part in writing songs for a new girl band. This girl band, named "Stereopony", which was formed in Okinawa, consists for three girls in their 10s. They had their major debut last November with the song "Hitohira no Hanabira". Their new song "I do it" will be released in April. This is also the first time YUI wrote songs for others.
YUIとステレオポニーは所属レコード会社やプロデューサーが同じという間柄。休養も兼ねて沖縄に来ていたYUIが、同じく沖縄でレコーディングをしていたステレオポニーを訪問、セッションを通じて出来た楽曲が4月に発売される「I do it」だ。
YUI and Stereopony have the same recording company and producer. YUI visited Stereopony in Okinawa while having her break. They had a few sessions together before producing the song "I do it".
ステレオポニーのボーカル、ギターのAIMIは、「セッションをさせてもらい、素晴らしい作品を作ることが出来ました！ 夢のような時間でしたが、こんな素敵な楽曲が出来たことに感謝してます」と喜びを語り、YUIは「ライブなどでどんな風に演奏されるのかもすごく楽しみです！」と早くも“後輩”のライブでの演奏を楽しみにしている。
The guitar-vocalist of Stereopony, AIMI commented joyfully, "We managed to come out with an outstanding product after having a few sessions! It was like a dream, and I'm really glad to have been able to produce such a wonderful song." YUI also mentioned, "I am looking forward to seeing how they will perform this song live!", YUI also expressed her anticipation to seeing her "juniors" perform.
Amazing isn't it?! Can't wait to listen to that new song! Weeeeeeeee
