Where: Duelist Kingdom Who: Croquet and Isono Why: hazing the new guy When: After Pegasus looses his memory but before they visit Otogi Rating: Um...N17 ish, guns and things
Kemo came walking down the corridor and stopped in front of the new guy. He didn't much like him, but the Chief said he was ok, far as humans went anyways.
The larger man gave Isono a cruel sort of grin as he looked down at him from behind his dark glasses.
"Hey buddy, you seen Pip around here anywheres?"
The tone of his question was somewhat mocking, he knew the new guy would have no idea.
"I'm supposed to be watchin him, but the dam thing keeps gettin away from me. Those tentacles can move quick as lightning I tell ya."
He gave the other guard a hard punch on the shoulder as he laughed. It seemed funny enough to him. Though he was always forgetting that the Chief didn't like it when the maids quit from seeing something they weren't supposed to.
Kemo paused to scratch the back of his head, looking down the hallway from the way he had come and then the other way. He didn't look very bright as he considered his two options of direction.
"You sure you ain't seen nothin come by here? I swear I could smell the slime trail come down this way..."
"I gotta find Pip before the Chief gets off his break. He'll have me in the dungeon for a week this time if anything happens to that thing."
"Ah well...Guess it's no biggie. He always turns up round lunch time, he'll probably be waitin for his goat like usual."
"Keep up the good work there kid."
He gave Isono another smack on the shoulder as he walked by him. He loved the smell of human fear in the morning. It kept the grin on his face as he loped off down the hallway in search of the missing Pip.
Isono knew he was stressing out about this tentacled monster that was apparently loose in the castle. He normally wouldn't have been, but ever since being brought here, strange things never seemed to stop happening. It was as if he left normalcy back home.
Tentacle monsters were never good. In the movies they always either killed you or raped you...Neither of those sounded very good to Isono right now.
In the near distance from the direction Kemo had first come from the jangling of a name tag on a collar could faintly be heard. If you were a pet owner you would recognize the sound. If not, the soft sound of something slithering across thick plush carpet may have made you wonder more.
One green tendril slowly tested around the corner of the hallway, followed closely by another as the jangling grew louder. There was a gurgling noise with it and after a few more feet of vine like slime coated tendrils had appeared a large squarish near reptilian head was dragged into view.
Two red eyes standing atop it's head like a frogs peered slowly about the hallway. One of them winked down into it's socket for a moment and then back up. The shiny red collar around the base where all the tentacles came from jangled as it slithered ominously forwards leaving a thick trail of pungent goo in it's wake.
One long tendril reached forwards and connected with the tip of the mans shoe. It drew back slightly and the creatures head raised higher to blink intently in his direction.
"muur ip?!"
It made an odd gurgling noise opening wide jaws lined in over sized fangs. In fact the creatures entire head seemed to be one huge drooling mouth designed to open and snap closed in an instant to outdo even the larges alligator.
It tilted to the left a little as it seemed to be measuring up the size of the dark suited figure before it.
Came the curt reply. He might as well switch his break time with his usual duty times. Everything always happened when he was on break. If he did that, he'd only have to work an hour a day.
He stood at attention, prepared to strike if need be.

He had to stay here, though! He had to protect Masters Mokuba and Seto! That was his first priority!
But he couldn't help knowing he wanted to just run away screaming like a coward, and that made him feel a bit ashamed.

"Uhm...Mr.Croquet, sir..." He started nervously, inching away from the monster.
