Seth knew this had to be strange for the man. He had at least wandered around after death and knew all these appliances and such. Pegasus had forgotten them all.

He approached Pegasus quietly. It was Seto's body and he had to be slow and gentle. No rushing. No swift movements or anything that could lead to dizziness or harm to the children.

"...Hello, My Fire." He muttered, speaking in their native language as he wrapped his arms around him.

Pegasus leaned away slightly.

"My Pharaoh, is there something you need?"

It was odd. His touch was the same, but again, it was not his to give. He turned to look at him, glancing down at the swell of his belly and back to his face.

"How is Umayme (little mother) this morning?"

He asked politely after Seths host with a warmer smile. He never could resist children and the promise of one growing there warmed him through and through.

"Seto is fine. He is sleeping and would prefer to be left alone right now. I hope you understand that he's just a little upset you don't remember him." Seth replied softly. "But I'm sure you will remember eventually. He's a little hard to forget." He laughed softly.

"If he is at all like you Beloved, I would very much like to know him better."

Pegasus smiled at his laughter. Seth was so much more relaxed than he had known him before. Of course, there was no court here, no one to impress. Even the servants were few in this isolated strong hold. Duelist Kingdom as it was called was their own private paradise.

"I wish I had memorized my language spells. It would be helpful to really talk with these people instead of intruding upon their minds for meaning all the time. There are so many things I cannot grasp, even when I see them clearly in their thoughts. Like "internet" and "Fax machine" and this thing called "Gameboy" young Mokuba wanted me to come and play."

"How does a child play while sitting still and not moving or speaking? It seems most unnatural. Are you sure the poor little lad is right in the head to be staring at a toy like that for so long?"

"Well, Mokuba normally plays the PSP or some other thing like that. They are games put into little machines and somehow they can play them. I don't fully understand them myself, but if I had Seto explain then it would just confuse us all further. He tends to explain it very technically. He has created several such machines before, and very modern things that I do not delve into his mind to figure out about. It gives me a headache." Seth explained to his very best ability.

Everything had gotten so complicated. Pegasus drew a knee up to lean his cheek on, effectively hiding behind his hair.

"I always have a headache here... The world feels so, heavy. It's hard to even breathe. And my own kind...That Croquet, he told me they're all gone. Do you think that's really true? I don't trust him much. He's undead. I can't feel him at all or read his thoughts."

Pegasus sighed and reached a hand up to place his fingertips against the cold glass. His lonely eye gazing out across the ocean once more and all the unknown world that was beyond it.

"I can't help but wonder, is it all really true?"

"..Yes..as far as I know..there are no others like you in this time...and..Croquet..You can trust him. He has risked his life for you many times I've seen...even if he isn't really..well..alive...And Seto has grown to trust him..at least concerning your safety."

Pegasus looked at his love once more, his smile slowly coming back. He nodded in agreement about Croquet. If Seth trusted someone then he didn't need any more reassurance than that.

Concerning the rest Pegasus was indeed curious but he didn't like sitting around just looking at the objects amassed in this home. He wanted to be out seeing how they were used, how life worked in this time. A new mischievous sparkle lit in the corner of his eye. He knew just who he could drag with him to be his guide.

"Can we go to town? Go to the market or something? It's so boring sitting around here. Please Blue eyes! You're so smart, you'll show me the way people live now won't you?"

"And I'm sure you'll buy me something pretty along the way too, won't you my Lion?"

He cuddled up to Seth shamelessly, batting long khol lined lashes.

"Well, I don't really know that much about all of this...but I could try." Seth smiled softly.

"Why don't you let my little wife take over then and you can translate for him? I'm sure he would like to come shopping! I'll make the shadow portal, you tell me where to point it and we'll be off!"

Pegasus had sprung up with excitement and a toss of his thick silver mane. His jewelry chimed cheerfully as he was already tugging Seth by the wrist towards the door, carefully mindful of how the poor fellow was waddling under his extra weight.

For all the lovely things he had seen in this home, he wasn't sure there was anything here for a baby. At the very least he should get the new child a present, his poor spouse was so round he looked as if he could deliver any day. And here he was making such a stressful situation for the new mother, not even remembering who he was!

There was much to make up for, and much to learn, and spending time with his little Seto as well as Seth on a fun shopping trip was the best idea he could come up with.

"..Well..first, I believe you should know you two aren't married. We should try to not have any awkward situations between you two or anything." Seth replied, a bit concerned as to how Seto would feel about going shopping with a man who didn't even remember him.

Pegasus stopped in his tracks, almost fast enough for Seth to run into his back. He turned immediately to face him sweeping his hair away from his face in a graceful gesture to peer through it. Anyone who knew him well would see his agitation.

"What do you mean...not married? People still get married now, don't they? Who else would he belong to but me? Does his family not agree? You know I'd pay any price for a dowry!"

Pegasus was in full ranting mode now, pacing without restraint.

"We must go to a priest at once! I simply won't have my first and only child born a bastard!"

"Pegasus, calm down. This is a different time and place...You two wouldn't be allowed to marry in Seto's own country due to your gender, and Seto needs to keep his condition on the hush-hush. It's just not natural for men to gt pregnant, you see..and even with his ring disguising him, he'd feel very weird getting married at this point in time...He feels he's too young for such a thing...and....actually....he's waiting for the right time and place...and for you to make the first move...But..not you at the moment...the you he knows." Seth attempted to explain. "Customs have changed, Pegasus...There are different practices during this time. Hell, people get married and then divide legally and go marry others during this time. And that, in and of itself, is a very common practice. Times have changed.....and you shouldn't get married to him just yet..okay?"

"Too young?..."

Pegasus gave him a strange look. He was sure the man was at least sixteen, surely he couldn't be younger, he was strong enough to bear a child after all.

"I do understand about not letting on about being pregnant, but how does having a priest witness my ownership of him involve others?"

Pegasus paused then, thinning his lips slightly in a gesture that was more worry than accusation.

"Or is this more about you my Pharaoh? Do you not approve of your host being topped? Are you afraid of loosing face, that the world will find out he's the wife and not the husband in this pair?"

"Pegasus...I've lived my life, I care not about my pride because hardly anyone even remembers who I am. Let alone that I'm around to even care what they think. This has nothing to do with me..I want Seto to be happy...but, honestly, right now is not the time. He's thought about marrying you only a few times before and each time he thinks 'I'm not sure if I really am ready for such a thing...or if Max is either.' So..he never mentions it to you. People get married later on in life during this time as well. Usually in their mid-twenties or so, if they're smart." He was silent another moment. "..And..marriage is different during this time..it's not about claiming ownership upon someone and claiming them as yours and yours only..it's about commitment to each other. Supporting each other in an equal relationship. Having full faith in one another and allowing each other freedom because you trust them. Atleast, that's how Seto seems to see it."

"Ah...so, he doesn't trust me? I had thought it was only because I don't remember him, but if he's thought of marriage before and we're not..."

Pegasus face fell slightly. He let go of Seth and fiddled with a charm on one of his bracelets instead as the awkward silence and disappointment settled in. He gave a half hidden glance at Setos belly and then back at the floor again. His child, but not his child. Setos child.

His lip began to tremble and he turned away, finally all out running for the bathroom amidst sobs like a child who had been told he wasn't allowed candy. The door slammed shut and locked. He had learned that much in his time here. He was in full tantrum mode now, feeling the full force of being denied.

Who would ever, had ever denied him anything! Especially something so important as this!
