"I don't want to force you Seigfried, everyone needs time to grieve. Yet I also think you need to come to terms with how you treated your brother and more importantly, why..."
He prompted him gently, paying close attention to his emotions, his stability, as he did so. Would he still try to pretend the horrible things Kaiba spoke of didn't happen? What had caused such a promising young programmer, a paragon in his field to spiral so out of control?
He was so very young, from a wealthy aristocratic family. Well educated, bright and personable. He and his brother had seemed fine when Pegasus last saw them together. Leon's death and the stories of mistreatment were a true shock to Pegasus still. More than anything, he wanted to know what had happened to Seigfried to cause such a breakdown, such terrible abuse.

Pegasus was trying his best, but he was unsure of what to expect. Everything had suddenly taken a nosedive towards darkness and instability.

Pegasus patted his hand in his most calming manner. There was a certain amount of sincerity there, but also something darker, lurking just beneath the surface.
"I'm sure it's all based on a miscommunication of some sort."
Pegasus nodded his head.
"Neither Kaiba nor Jou speak your native language very well. I'm sure they simply misunderstood some things and overreacted..."
Although he was perfectly fluent in German it was not the easiest language to grasp and perhaps the slang a child like Leon used would be even harder? He wanted to believe the best, he truly did, and yet, he had seen the images in Kaibas mind, the suicide of a young boy. It sent a chill lancing through him even now.
