I don't know why this didn't post when I originally wrote it but anyway...

Ok, so I stated in an earlier post that I am planning on cosplaying Momo-hime from Oburomuramasa or Muramasa the Demon Blade. Let me just say to start that this is an evil evil cosplay that is driving me nuts, especially the obi. I attempted to be accurate when making the damn thing so that's not so bad. The part that's killing me is the freaking flowers all over it. And because I'm a masochistic idiot with a tendency to get myself in over my head I'm hand painting them.... all of them. It is taking me forever.

I wrote that almost a month ago and thought it posted. Apparently not. Damn glitchy computer. Anyway AWA was a lot of fun and I did finish Momohime. The flowers were a bitch but I finished them. I finally got to see Bur's Date Masamune cosplay which I missed at Animazement. And I found out that she has seen Kamen Rider Den-O. You should have seen the spaz-flail that caused.

Speaking of Den-O we finally got all 6 of the main Imagin together in a couple of photoshoots. It was awesome! If you haven't seen this series I really recommend it. It is  a live action so if that's not your thing you may not like it at first, but watch it anyway. The first couple of episodes are ok but episode 4 is where it starts getting good. From then on its at a climax from start to finish!

Ok, bad toku jokes aside. Back to AWA, once again I spent the entire con taking pictures instead of attending panels. I've finished uploading all my pictures. You can check them out here:

There were a lot of good moments at this con. The first one I can think of is the Hetalia parade Zip and I saw led by 2 Americas. Another was seeing a really damn good group of Dissidia cosplayers.  Seeing another friend cosplaying The Boulder from Avatar was cool. (Another series I need to watch XP) and running around as Anti-spiral Nia with my Simon was uproariously fun as always (And I didn't get mistaken for Midna this time! :D) And the ball. I admit I enjoyed the ball immensely (mostly because I love dancing even though I'm not that good at it). And then there was the Den-O shoots like I mentioned earlier. And getting recognized when I was wearing Momo-hime was a huge moral boost. I was honestly worried that I would put all this work into the get-up and then have people think I was just a random girl in a kimono. ...... Which most of them probably did. Anyway I got recognized by a surprising number of congoers, much more than I expected which was a huge relief. I don't act it most of the time but I get huge costume anxiety....usually at really bad times.....like standing in line for the catwalk.

Now I have to worry about who I'm bringing to the next con I'm going to.........Katsu-con!

But first, ...I need to make some money!

den-o, awa
