Of slash-laced PWNage and Victorian xerox-went-wrong
Saw The Prestige on Friday. I should have done so much much earlier. The film was all kinds of awesome. But then, how could it fail, when it had everything? Obsessed magicians in top hats played by two comic book hunks hot actors, delightful plot twists and surprises that keep the audience gasping, much UST (or "rivalry" as they prefer to call it these days ;)), great supporting cast (giant lol at Bowie!Tesla XDDD), a nice semi-steampunky setting and a grotesque (as not to say ‘morbid’) ending that you can’t stop talking about long after leaving the theater. I do feel more then compelled to see this movie again, since on our way home it turned out that both me and sis had diametrically different ideas about what happened in the end (I kinda like her version better). Question only for those who saw the movie: [SPOILER] Is it true that in the last scene when the camera zooms to the Angier clone in the tank, his eyes open? I totally missed this ._.[/SPOILER].
