That sucks. Like, a lot. Pierrot is one of my favorite bands, and it's sad to know that I'm not going to be getting new music from them. Kirito's solo project is passable, but all it is is Pierrot light. He can quite do it without Jun's knack for melodic hooks (the upside to any synth guitarist) and Aiji's rockin' guitar work (Aiji is one of my favorite Japanese guitarists because he, like Akiya of Kagrra and Kaoru of Dir en grey, have taken inspiration from Sugizo and developed a style that resembles the greatness of Sugizo with flat-out being a low rate imitation).
Don't feel too sad, though. It's Pierrot. I'm going to bank on the same thing I'm hoping for Luna Sea. It's my dream to see Luna Sea live, and them being disbanded makes it hard. However, it is the unwritten law of the music industry that you DO a 20th Anniversary Tour. Luna Sea is due in 2009 (and since they've re-opened their SLAVES fanclub, I think it's gonna happen). So save up those moneys (but indulge in the efforts they put out when Aiji and Jun go a la Sugizo and J, and Kirito, Kohta, and Takeo form their 3 man group just like Inoran, Ryuichi, and Hayama's Tourbillon), and have a good $3000 set aside for 2014, when they all get over their Pierrot burn out and decide to do it like the good ol' days. PIERROT 2014 20th Anniversary. I'll be there.
Well in terms of Kirito's solo project, I completely agree with you. Although before the album came out, Kirito said that he wasnt trying to make it different. So now that the band's split up, I'm banking that he'll be putting some real effort into making something completely different from Pierrot in the future with his solo efforts. It's not going to be the same without Jun and Aiji doing backup, the emphasis on Kohta's bass, and Takeo's original mix if electronic and acoustic drums.
As for the 20th anniversary tour. I think you've got a point going there, and I can only hope that it'll really happen. I was hoping for at least a last goodbye tour or a goodbye album sort of thing. However, they're not even doing that. I'll be hoping for the next few days that they'll announce a final tour, even though they won't. They ended it painfully abruptly, and I support their decision for it. All I can hope for is the big 20th Anniversary Tour. I'll be there too.
