Today I'm searching for some data to finish my assignments. I clicked a google link about risk management and was presented by a frightening screen. It came up with about 12 red lines of trojan and virus threats and would not let me close the window and get out of there. When I try to close the window, there was a warning:
Are you sure want to close this window? Your system is at risk of damage.
Gahh!!! I was so damn scared because I have all my assignments on my netbook. I didn't do any partition in my hard disk. If the system of my netbook affected by viruses, I have to re-install my netbook. I will lose all my data (because it only has one drive).
However, there is a suggestion in that "security threat analysis" window. It said:
Click here to erase all threats.
Then I tried to clicked it. And suddenly my IDM shows up with some sort of programs to be downloaded. I think that program is suspicious. So I didn't download it. I try to scan my drive with Antivirus, and nothing was found. But still, I'm too scared to closed that window. And then I feel something is wrong. How come, if my system was damaged by 12 viruses, it can still runs normally?
I browse for an explanation on google. And I found it! Someone also have that kind of experience. She/He write it on a certain forum and it turn out that the 'security threat analysis' window is fake.
All you have to do is run your task manager and end the process. So I did it, and it works!!
I was so frightened. But luckily I didn't get panicked and download that whatsoever suspicious program. Maybe that program is the real virus.
Because of that, I can't concentrate on my assignments anymore. Guess I'm too shocked but also relieved that actually my netbook is perfectly fine. So here I am, posting this post even though tomorrow I should face my mid-term exam and I haven't studied anything yet.
