*Ring*
"Front desk, this is Rachel."
"Excuse me ma'am, I was just wondering where the intimacy kit is located in this room."
"Actually, sir we don't stock those sorts of products in our hotel rooms."
"Oh. Well, can you tell me what store on property would carry it."
"I'm afraid we don't have that product anywhere on property."
*click*
*One hour later*
"We're really hungry now, where can we get some food?"

Two nights later I had this call around 5 a.m.

"Front desk, this is Rachel."
"Good morning! I was wondering if it would be possible for me to have a late checkout."
"Unfortunately ma'am I don't have any late checkouts available at this point."
"Well, I'm only calling to ask because the room next door has been keeping me awake. They're not exactly partying, but..."
"I'd be happy to send someone up to have them cut down on the noise."
"Well, they sound like they're having fun, so I don't want to disturb them. It's not really a party, more like a rhythmic thumping."
"Oh. Are you sure you don't want me to send someone up?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
"Well, the good news is that it can't last forever, ma'am!"
"That's what I thought two hours ago."
"Which room did you say that was? I think I need to look up his phone number."
"Hell, I'm getting an autograph in the morning!"

Also, the kidlet is just over two now, but she knows the entire alphabet! I am a very proud mom.
