Hyrule is safe now

Guys.

I went in there.

And I PWNED.

.............and, ok, Ganondorf kinda kicked the crap out of me while I was trying to figure out exactly how to execute the single move that allows you to get a hit in.  Don't give me that look, it's tricky AND it occurs pretty infrequently.  But I had a fairy (restores eight hearts), Blue Potion (restores all your health), Rare Chu Jelly (restores all health and boosts attack strength), and the Great Fairy's Tears (the same as Rare Chu Jelly, except it's magenta so it's obviously cooler).  All this fight really needed was patience and a really strong, quick thumb to tap A for the single attack.  (And when I mean quick, I mean the speed of light.  Apparently the game designers didn't think anything less was worthy to defeat their game.)

But my moment of glory was when I drank my favorite potion (Great Fairy Tears) and then dealt the finishing blows to Ganon.  Not only is the extra strength awesome, but while it's active, it turns Link this sparkly gold.  So in the finishing battle sequence, there's this close-up of Link's determined face as he plunges his sword into Ganon and MY Link was golden and sparkly!  XD XD XD

It was kind of really perfect.

The ending was great.  I won't say anything specific here in case one of you picks the game up or plans to finish it.  Curiosity spoiled some of it for me before I actually got the game, but I was still super excited to see all of it at once.  To be honest, I might have been more disappointed if I hadn't already known what was going to happen (although I also probably would have been even more excited to see it).  I guess I just was looking forward to more Link and Zelda interaction.  And now that I'm on that track, I would have liked to see more Link and Zelda interaction throughout the game.  It's strange, I feel like Link gained powers of sorts and became stronger, but his character remained the same, good-hearted and brave.  But Midna, the sidekick throughout the story, goes through a lot of character development, and though she remains sassy, she also becomes a kinder person and all the better from knowing Link and Zelda.  So even though I had virtually no Link/Zelda, seeing Midna's story come to its conclusion was just as gratifying.

And, oh yeah.  I PWNED.  ^.^
