Writer's Block: Untimely Passing

Wow.  I can't honestly think of a celebrity death that hit me emotionally, beyond thoughts like "Man, a lot of kids must be devastated about Kurt Cobain" or "Damn, Mother Teresa had an amazing life."  I just don't identify with celebrities enough to feel sorrow at their passing beyond what i'd feel about a friend of a friend.  I have sympathy and empathy for their loved ones that remain, but that is the extent of my emotional involvement.

Does that make me heartless?
