That old RPG character quiz
This is pretty old, but i spent the time writing it, and i may or may not amuse someone, somewhere.
In order to get 12 whole characters, i had to use some of the ones i got at Gamedays. So if some of these characters seem extremely foolish or childish to you, you can blame my DM's (*coughcoughKevincough* ;)) Bolded characters are "real", in that i made them. The rest are all from Gamedays.
So enjoy:
Name 12 characters you have played in RPGs, before looking at the questions that follow. List your characters numbered 1 to 12, with the name of the RPG you played them in. *1) Who would make a better college professor: 6, or 11?*
Sikke vs. Reginald - Reginald is a well-educated, highly regimented person, with an eye for detail and a sense of order and balance. Sikke is a reasonably unstable and only slightly sane pyrophobe with a major hatred for organized religion. Reginald wins.
*2) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?*
Satu is becoming hot! She started out meek and mousy, but after being deserted in Freeport and left to fend for herself by a two-timing polygamist, she has gotten a few sharp edges. Plus, leather pants.
*3) 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?*
Shouts into Wind sends Sinya'ven to reconsecrate some hallowed ground he saw defiled by his village Shaman. Unfortunately, Sinya's hatred for organized religion causes her to decide on her own that the Shamans must be punished for their crimes in order for the land to be purified. She earns a bunch of Dark Side points in the process.
*4) What is, or would be, 9's favourite book?*
Pain's favourite book would be The Prince (Machiavelli).
*5) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?*
Satu and Sikke....Satu is a bit older, and is an established member of a.....problem solving group in Freeport. Plus she's an assistant to a professor at a well-known university. She is probably on her way to running her own business of some sort. Sikke is young, homeless, betrayed and generally lost in the world, with nothing but bitterness and anger towards her family. She would probably agree to be companion or assistant to Satu, after Satu rises a little in the world.
*6) For some reason, 5 is looking for a room-mate. Should they share a studio apartment with 9, or 10?*
Kat rooming with either Lovey Howell, or Pain the Sith Apprentice. Do i even have to answer this one?
*7) 2, 7, and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?*
Satu, River, and Shouts into Wind: they all eat meat, so probably out for steak. Open air cafe though - they all hate being indoors, trapped, people looking...looking...looking at you...into you.....
Satu and Shouts would probably discuss how one cannot trust anyone, even those you might have to someday depend on for your life. River would interject observations about the butterflies in the trees and the state of mind of their fellow diners.
*8) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?*
Ysilme versus Lovey Howell: Lovey has no idea what a duel even is, and wonders if it is a hairstyle or an evening gown. Kelti rips her throat out.
*9) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would they get it back?*
If Jaana was stupid enough to steal Sinya's discblade? Sinya would force recall it back. And if some of Jaana's beautiful long black hair accidentally got chopped off in the retrieval...or a finger or two...well, too damn bad, thief!
*10. Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.*
River and Shouts into Wind both want the demons in their head to be still! So..."Sill Vie Die Nacht"
*11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?*
Jaana and Kiyohiro: Jaana would leave the temple of Wee Jas after being hit on by Ike Iverson one too many times. She would travel randomly unti she ended up at the OA continent. Kiyohiro would have sympathy, being a woman warrior far from home, and they would find solidarity in their mutual ostracisement.
*12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?*
I know i would love to spend time with River, but i would be intimidated by her massive intellect. I don't know if she would even realise i was around.
*13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?*
Ysilme Telasse: I would ask her to help me become a druid! Establish a grove! Find an animal companion!
*14) Does anyone on your friends list resemble 11 (either in appearance or personality)?*
Reginald Prongs is a twin separated at birth from my ex.
*15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?*
Satu, Kiyohiro vs. Kat: I think Satu would have more sympathy for Kat than Kiyohiro. Kat is a fairly emotional creature, full of passion and rage. Kiyohiro is very structured and military. They would have little in common at first blush.
*16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?*
Lovey Howell would chirp: Darling! Darling! I'd like more champagne!
*17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?*
Sinya'ven - Minority (Green Day)
*18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?*
Jaana, Sikke, and Shouts into Wind: Sikke has the worst manners, that's for sure. She's also the least mature. I think she gets it.
*19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?*
Satu picking up Lovey Howell? She's jilted, used, seduced and dumped. But not desperate.
*20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?*
Kat = Felony theft, Resisting Arrest, Trespassing, Grand Theft Auto, Corruption of a Minor, Possession of Illegal Firearms, Concealed Weapon without a Permit, Breaking and Entering, Assault with Intent to Kill, Vehicular Homicide, and Manslaughter 1 with Depraved Indifference. (That is all at once, of course.)
*21) What is 6's secret?*
Sikke enjoyed flirting with the pirate crew while she was dressed as a boy. Many of them flirted back and were confused about why they enjoyed it. It made her laugh.
*22) If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?*
Pain vs Reginald? O please. Sith apprentice over Lawful Good every day. Not only would Reginald not get there first, he might not get there as a recognisable solid.
*23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?*
Sinya'ven versus River Tam: Wow. This is harder than i thought. At first the Zeison Sha with the discblade came to mind. Then i realised that River can kill you with the power of her mind ;)
*24) /Jaana/ and /Pain/ reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by /Kiyohiro/'s sinister secret organization. /Reginald/ volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he is actually a spy for /Kiyohiro/. Meanwhile, /Kiyohiro/ has kidnapped /Shouts into Wind/ in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of /Kat/, they seek out /Ysilme/, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic?*
