Catherine update
Hello hello.
I'm sorry this is rather late...
Catherine had surgery on her left heel Monday around 5:30. It took about 1.5-2 hours, but the doctors said everything went very well. They placed her heel in a gauze-brace and she spent all of Tuesday in the hospital.
She came home today--rather early, I'm guessing somewhere around 12:00--and has been taking it easy.
The next few days will simply be her recovering from surgery, the I.V. (apparently they messed it up and so her left arm is really sensitive), and the drugs. It'll be a few days before she starts answering e-mails and calling people like she was last week. But knowing Catherine, once she starts, there's almost no stopping her. Thank-you for those of you who have been praying for her as well as those who have contacted her to show her your support.
Oh yeah. Her dad left for China (I think) today, leaving Mrs. Dooley to tend for Catherine as well as take care of Jenna and Thomas (not that they're completely helpless, but you know...). She could also use our prayers and support. I'll see about trying to arrange something where she and the siblings can go off one night and have some fun while us BSCers babysit Catherine. Heh heh.
