Question for the Comm:

...I know this comm has been stagnant for quite some time. We are all members here because of the strange bend of the mind we all have. That being said, I'm taking a poll of sorts.
I have a character who has a primal need to submit and is confused by it--and yes, I could probably post this to some of the bdsm communities to which I belong, however, I want to solicit some answers from my "vanilla" peeps--or as far as I know, you all are vanilla.
I do know where I'm taking this character, however, I'm looking for some odd things outside of my own version of him to add some additional complexity to his inner turmoil.
What would make you want to submit to someone else. Not just sexually (although that is even better), but what is your definition of servitude, and what, within yourself, would make you want to submit willinging. Or possibly what dark fantasy would you want to entertain although you yourself might not want to actually act it out. And while I'm at it, what would be your biggest fear in it.
And if you don't really have anything within yourself to share, what about one of your character's issues or fears? That'll work too.
