This from CNN crime news...
NORTH CANTON -- A mother checking in on her son Saturday night found him beheaded in his bathroom. On Monday, investigators identified the victim as 34-year old Brett Smith. His mother reported him missing Saturday to police.
Officers checked his home, found nothing out of the ordinary, and that's when his mother, Judy, broke into his house and called 9-1-1. Here is a transcript of the call:
Mother: "We just broke in and it looks like he's in the bathroom, but his head's missing."
Operator: "...but what?"
Mother: "His head isn't there. I know it sounds really weird."
(Now... let's state the friggin' obvious...)
Police say Smith's death is being investigated as a homicide, (YA THINK? What? He went into the bathroom and cut his own head off?) and so far there are no suspects. Police would not release any other details.
"It took kind of most the day for it to sink in," said Barbara Nelson. "It was so heinous."
