Never had sweat literally pouring off me before - that's what I get for deciding to mow the front lawn and weed the flower bed today, even though I was done before 9:30am. My first heat advisory - temps + humidity are going to make the heat index creep up to 105 or even 110 (40-43 celsius) today and tomorrow, as I discovered when I got back indoors and checked my trusty weather site. Hurrah for a working, efficient air conditioning system; still, the heat already seems to be pressing down on the house with almost physical force. The birds are quiet, the road is deserted, and even the flies seem too hot to move.
I'm off to have another glass of water and a lick of salt.
