End of the Month

So work is slowing down, I am catching up on projects, and I decided to write a little bit here while a CD burns.

To say that this spring has been uneventful would be a horrible, nasty lie.  I have done a lot, gone through a great deal of stress and heartache, but still have survived.  My greatest "stress" right now is trying to figure out what I am going to be doing next year.  It is all up in the air still as I might get this job back or still might be at the high school.  I am not sure which I want more right now...but I would like to know one way or the other.  The stories and advice from various others is very contradictory and not at all helpful...but we shall persevere.

I have been to a couple movies this month...ok..yeah..so just two.  Spider-Man 3 and Pirates 3.  Both very good.

I will say that all of the scenes in Spidey where Peter cries almost ruined the whole movie for me.  It just looks like he was in pain...and not very convincing pain at that.  I did enjoy the story, wanted more Topher as Venom (he WOULD have made a nice Peter originally, but does well as Eddie).  I didn't really like how they tied the whole Sandman story into Uncle Ben's death...let the poor folks have some closure already...but I did like the character even though he felt more like an add-on than a part of the original story...even though he was billed as the main villain for quite a while.  Ah...and I must exclaim...Disco/Greasy/Junkie/Pimp Peter....UGH!

Pirates on the other hand was a great deal of fun.  Would have loved more Jack...I really think he is why I watch those movies.  The final fight scene (all half hour or so of it) was one of the best things I have ever seen on the screen.  Oh...and do stay until after the credits.  While not a long scene, it is kinda neat.

I guess I get to go stuff envelopes now.  How thrilling.

movies, work
