Wow...it has been one of those weeks. You know the kind...where it feels as if the world is crashing down over your head. You huddle trying to just survive the catastrophe, then stand up at the end and wonder where the hell you need to start picking up the pieces. Yeah...thats been my week...actually the last few weeks. Oh well....let us move away from such scintillating topics.
I had a great time in Mexico...it was very different than what I expected being a grand ol' resort town. But there was much relaxing, laughing, swimming, etc. I had never played in an ocean where the water was warmer than the pools up the hill. I even got to go Marlin fishing...which was a blast. It might have been a little better if I had caught something, but it was fun nonetheless. The captain of the boat and I didn't see eye to eye on a few issues...but it was great to be out on the ocean and see the one fish come in. Luckily it was my friend that brought it in so we had striped marlin for dinner the next day exquisitly prepared by the restaurant at the resort, PLUS he got a Sport Fishing Certificate for his 8' 4" 120-something pound fish!
I believe that I have mentioned that my sister and nephew moved to Montana for the 15 months that my bro-in-law is back in Iraq. She is also 8 months pregnant. She was also in a car accident caused by a drunk driver this last weekend. She is ok...there was a scare with the baby as she lost a great deal of amniotic fluid (we aren't sure where it went) but the doctor thought they might have to do an emergency C-Section. Again. Aiden was born three weeks early through an emergency C-Section. Soooo yeah. Things have stabilized and as long as she doesn't do a whole lot she doesn't start having contractions. ;-) We all are pretty sure that she is NOT going to carry the baby to term...but then she and the baby could be just stubborn enough to prove us all wrong.
Well there is more that I could talk about...but I should do some work.
