Musketeers 2x03 - The Good Traitor
This episode was bullshit. From the shitty writing to the bad acting (Rochefort, I'm looking at you) to the ridiculous Milady/Louis arc (WTF) to the Musketeers being sidelined again in their own show. WTF. Season 2 sucks.
Two positive notes: Louis (apart from the Milady thing, which I skipped altogether because WTF) was brilliant. And Porthos was the star of the show until he started whinging at the end about his absent father.
But what was actively offensive was Samara's insistence that race counts for more than nationality, that somehow if you're not the right colour you'll never be "properly" from a place. Having the nerve to tell Porthos to find his "real" home. Fuck you, show writers. As a first generation migrant who loves her country and who is Australian and nothing else, shut your stupid, ignorant racist mouth and take that shit off my airwaves. I know it's for the Drama in Porthos' upcoming Angst-arc, but that kind of ideology is irresponsible and hate-mongering and disgusting.
