This is the freebie for today's fishbowl, inspired by a prompt from Dreawidth user Siberian_skys. It also fills the "colorful area rug" square in

"Tiggers Are Cuddly Fellas"
The fall weather was awful,
and they'd been out in it all day.
The morning had been raw
when they went out on a call,
with a damp wind cutting the air
underneath a low, leaden sky.
They wound up fighting against
monstrous turkeys for hours, until
everyone was covered in bird bits.
Then it had started to rain, and now
everything stank of wet feathers.
"I still can't believe that someone
tried to grow house-sized turkeys,"
Tony grumbled. "My suit's gonna
reek for a week after all that."
"Hey, at least it's not as bad as
the mutant pumpkins last month,"
Steve pointed out. "That was rank."
Shivering, he and Bucky clung to
each other as Bucky helped Steve
scrub off the mess in the team shower.
"Are you all right, Steve?" Phil asked.
"You don't look so good right now."
"Eh, I'm just cold," Steve replied with
a shrug. "Sometimes it feels like
I'll never get really warm again."
Clint was humming something as
he peeled off his soggy archery gear.
Phil tilted his head, listening, then
caught a faint trace of the song.
Tiggers are cuddly fellas
Tiggers are awfully sweet
Everyone el-es is jealous
That's why I repeat and repeat...
Steve and Bucky dashed out of
the water to rub each other with
a pair of enormous fluffy towels.
Clint dropped his stuff with
a wet splat and stepped into
spot they had just vacated.
"Uncle Phil has an idea,"
he announced as he handed
the boys a third towel. "After
you're all squeaky clean, go
put on your pajamas and then
meet me in the common room."
"Yay!" Clint said, hurrying
to finish up his shower.
It didn't take long for
the slightly damp littles
to start trickling into
the common room.
Uncle Phil spread out
a big shaggy rug that had
just gotten here last month.
It had a picture of Winnie the Pooh,
Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet worked
in latchhook with soft fuzzy yarn.
"Pile on," Uncle Phil invited.
"Today seems like a good day
for a snuggle and a fun movie."
"Stevie and Bucky in the middle,"
Betty said, pushing them toward it.
"I make a good hot water bottle,"
Bruce said drowsily as he draped
himself along Stevie's right side.
Tony wound up next to Bucky,
then Clint and Natka on the end.
Uncle Phil put on the movie.
"This is The Tigger Movie,"
he explained. "It's all about
family and friendship, and
it's a very snuggly story."
"Tiggers are cuddly fellas,"
Clint said again, then giggled.
"Hey, we know Tigger!" Stevie said
with a grin. "Don't we, Bucky?"
"Yeah, your mom used to read us
those stories when you were sick,"
said Bucky. "Like Kanga and Roo."
By this point, the littles had snuggled
so close that they were lying half on
top of each other, like a pilie of puppies.
And nobody was complaining of being cold.

[Tigger crashes into Winnie the Pooh]
Winnie-the-Pooh is a teddy bear character created by English author A. A. Milne and English illustrator E. H. Shepard. Winnie-the-Pooh first appeared by name in 1925, and the first collection of stories was Winnie-the-Pooh in 1926.
The Tigger Movie came out in 2000 and was the first feature-length theatrical Pooh film not spliced together from previously released shorts. It is recommended even for
highly sensitive children.
