The Crowdfunding September Creative Jam ran this past weekend.
There are two open epics at present.
" Before You Can Love Me" belongs to Iron Horses and has 23 new verses. Warshirt is unprepared for the emotional upheavals that Spotted Deer thrusts on him.
" The Simple Act of Caring" belongs to the Big One and has 18 new verses. Pips takes care of Bennett and gives him something to think about.
The weather has been variable here, mostly mild to warm. We got a little rain. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a large flock of house finches, several mourning doves, several cardinals (two males, two females, and a juvenile), two gray catbirds, a female downy woodpecker, and various fox squirrels including a juvenile. Currently blooming: white Dutch clover, blue lobelia, marigolds, petunias, million bells, snapdragons, lantana, pansies, violas, blanket flower, red salvia, moss rose, alyssum, red clover, firecracker plant, pink salvia, double superbells, pink verbena, blue salvia, black-eyed Susan, tomato, ice plant, nasturtiums, garlic chives, morning glory, purple echinacea, cup plant, zinnias, 'Autumn Joy' sedum, sunflowers, bachelor's button, coreopsis, four o'clocks, sunchokes, and goldenrod. Tomatoes are ripe. Harvest has begun in fields around our place.
