Three Weeks for Dreamwidth 2024 Question 21: Advice

There are three open epics at present.

" Before You Can Love Me" belongs to Iron Horses. Spotted Deer explains what she wants in a man. Warshirt is a bit poleaxed.

" The Simple Act of Caring" belongs to the Big One. Pips takes care of Bennett and Jules after the earthquake.

" Dealing with Historical Events and Characters" belongs to Dr. Infanta. She and her family explore the Great East-West Faire.

The weather has been hotter here. It rained a week ago, and the periodic cicadas came out. They've started singing now, but they aren't nearly as loud as the dog-day cicadas of late summer, maybe because these are smaller. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: several house finches, a mourning dove, a lady cardinal, a gray catbird, a house wren, a hummingbird, and a fox squirrel. I have been planting things! Lots of flowers are blooming now. Honeysuckle, white Dutch clover, alliums, blue lobelia, marigolds, petunias, million bells, snapdragons, lantana, pansies, violas, dianthus pinks, pink bergamot, yellow coreopsis, blanket flower, red salvia, moss rose, alyssum, peonies, irises, red clover, firecracker plant, pink salvia, red yarrow, double superbells, penstemon, white astilbe, pink verbena, and blue salvia are blooming. Yucca is starting to send up flower stalks, and garlic chives have buds. Wood hyacinth is done.
