This is the best stop-motion animation video I have seen since the
candy video games.
Things that impress me about "Matches" include:
* It does many different things with one core prop and a few supporting props. This is a great exercise for any film class: have students draw an ordinary item from a box and do as much as they possibly can with it.
Divergent thinking is key to creativity.
* The illustrated actions show many principles of geometry and science. It's not very common to see people mixing that with entertainment, but it works.
* Some sequences are exercises from magical duplication or telekinesis. Tedious as fuck when done with magic, but highly amusing on film.
* Many of the actions are unexpected and funny. I laughed a lot. You can never have too many videos that make you laugh.
