The Poetry Fishbowl went very well last week, with lots of enthusiasm. The first general fund poll and free epic polls are open for you to choose poetry. So is the poll for 2014 themes; please vote in that one.
Winterfaire 2013 is now open on LiveJournal and Dreamwidth, with some different booths in each place. Post a booth with your creative goods/services, or shop for holiday gifts from independent creators. The linkback perk is " No One to Greet the Season" which currently has 33 of 72 verses posted, so it's more than a third done. You can reveal new verses by linking to the Winterfaire, posting a booth, buying something, or sharing a link for a similar holiday bazaar. If you've already linked, it's okay, you can boost the signal again periodically since this project runs for a long time.

" Strange Gratitudes" comes from Polychrome Heroics. It's now complete; see how Thanksgiving wraps up and what happens when Damask gets home.
Torn World writing update:
Currently posting: " Squiggles: Excerpts from Nleimen's Journal" (fiction). Approved as canon: "Unicorns on Parade" "Spruce Deer" (poetry). Back to me for edits: "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands (Parts 1-4)," "Winterheart" (parts 2-3) (fiction), "Stinging Like Nettles" (poetry). Currently in front of the canon board: "Ghost Bat" (nonfiction), "Packet Permissions," "Sweet Nothings," "The Wrong Choice," "Wandering the Heights" "The Slow Hunt" "Summer Wine" "False Papers, True Words" "The Button Box" "Hand-Me-Downs" (poetry). Drafted: "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" (poetry). In revision at home: "Water Dance," "When the Wind's Teeth Sing," "Raining Kittens," "Finding the Holes" (fiction), "The Smallest Invaders" (poetry). Currently writing: "Catch of the Day," "A Cold Clear Night" (fiction).
Weather here turned biting-cold this week. We went holiday shopping with my parents anyhow, and had a great time. The birds today are fluffed up like little balls of feathers.
