Truth! My new co-worker still frequents Slashdot, which was a blog before blogs were invented... I was shocked to see the thing still there and going...

This reminds me very strongly of a usenet post titled "Nomads of the net". It seems to have vanished, alas!, but it described a bunch of digital nomads taking over an abandoned newsgroup (alt.kalbo). It was sort of an alt.callahans spinoff.

If anyone has it archived, I'd appreciate a copy.
