From Nothing
to Something.

All Nothing is the same.
All Somethings are different.

And Something
is infinitely greater than Nothing
as 0 > 1.

Something out of nothing. Hope out of despair. Grace notes to the universe. This is a key concept. This is a deep feeling of mattering.

"...not a foundation, but a feeling." Yes. We are afraid to admit it, because we would like to point to something and say, "Home is here," but we have to feel safe for that to happen, so the feeling is more basic even than the place.

I am thinking about stories I love by Spider Robinson and Charles De Lint and Ursula K. Le Guin, and I wish I could offer you and them all free tickets to some tavern between the world to go tell lies to each other so we can have more truths like this.

Yay writers.

That's what I was aiming for. \o/

Sooth. Home is a feeling of safety and belonging. Some people find that with a location, others with people.

Wow. I am flattered to be in such august company! Of the three, I have met only Ursula -- she was at WisCon one year, and that was fascinating.

>> Yay writers. <<

*bow, flourish* Happy to be of service.
