Friendly Whispers

They say some people can hear ghosts.

It's like a whisper of wind,
like a crackle of static.

It's there in the places
where the Ancients used to live.

If you can hear ghosts,
sometimes
they'll tell you where treasure lies.

Other times,
they'll just eat your spirit
and leave you mad.

Not all ghosts are evil, so they say.
Some of them are friendly.
The trick is telling which is which.

They say some people can hear ghosts,
but if they can,
they aren't talking.
