The next Poetry Fishbowl will be tomorrow with a theme of "Horror: Demons." dreamwriteremmy has volunteered to host the linkback poem on her new brides_koneko journal. "To Attend a Ball" (The Steamsmith) has 20 verses. I'm hoping this will encourage more participation after last month's linkback poem languished until the mid-month session.
My latest activity is bingo fests. I've written something for every square on my first card for Cottoncandy Bingo, gotten some excellent inspiration, and made a little money. I have three new cards: Kink, Hurt/Comfort, and a second card for Cottoncandy. I may mix some of these into the fishbowl again. Also, some folks have expressed interest in specific prompts, so if you'd like to sponsor a square, let me know and we'll work something out.
Voting is now open on the "Create a Fat Female Superhero" contest. It's broken down into batches of 10 entries, one poll every day. The gallery of entries is here.

" The Forging of Brisingamen" belongs to The Asgard Eddas. It is being funded in sections by DW user jb_slasher. This is mythic science fiction.

Approved as canon: "Squiggles: Excerpts from Nleimen's Journal," (fiction) "The Urge to Fly" "Neighboring Attractions" (poetry). Back to me for edits: "Breaking the Ice," (fiction), "Patterns in the Grass" "A Nap Under the Stars" (poetry). Currently in front of the canon board: "Beached Fish" "Reaching for the Moons" (fiction), "Five Red Beads" "Felting Together," "A Light in the Darkness" "Purist Rights" "Breeding the Perfect Fighter," "Autumn Gathering," "The Sound of an Argument," "The Charity Wall," "These Small Essential Pieces," "Flying in the Wind" (poetry), "Ghost Bat" "Half-Leg," (nonfiction). Drafted: "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands," "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" "The Museum of Mortality" (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" (poetry), "Publishers in the Empire" (nonfiction). Weather here has been pleasant, starting to turn cool at night. Leaves are coloring. Last night we saw a huge ring around the moon!
