Nuclear Empowerment

Rare metals are twisted into atomic batteries,
using emissions from a radioactive isotope
to generate electricity, a power source
useful in long-term applications
such as spacecraft and pacemakers,

half-life quietly keeping time
with the heartbeat of the universe.
