This poem was inspired by a discussion between kelkyag and janetmiles in the comments following " Stonewings."  It was sponsored by janetmiles.  Here, have more gargoyles.

Somehow I doubt that will be as simple as introducing raptors to knock down your pigeon problem. ;)

One wonders how the raptors and the gargoyles get along, actually.

OK, as a child of Detroit, I find this delightful. I would love to see this happen.

I've got another poem from Detroit too, "The Houses of Haunted Dolls." That one's still up for grabs -- it's a feral building story.

I'm still open for prompts too:

Ha! And after Detroit, where next?

This is good fun. I also asked for more gargoyles, and enjoyed this. Thanks!

And thanks to janetmiles!

Heh. So now the gargoyles hatchlings eat steak, or pigeons? If the gargolyes were selectively hunting criminals ... why? Will the chicks be properly nourished on other game?

I'm amused by the "New York Trash reporter" as well. Their "how I got this photo" story must be exciting.

(Edited for grammar -- sorry about that.)

I don't know. Yes, the gargoyles selectively targeted criminals. I don't know if they can eat other food; likely so. But they might run into trouble if they don't get any criminal flesh.

I figured that once the news got out about gargoyles, people would try to get better photos -- and the National Geographic folks would be at a disadvantage on that turf. A skilled and somewhat reckless urban photographer would stand a better chance.
