Pumpkins and sunflowers and corn, oh my!
^__^ Just a quick update from this past weekend (which was indeed MUCH better than the previous one, as I hoped it'd be.) lil_1337 , her husband John, daughter, daughter's minions and my humble self all headed out to Wilcox, AZ and a lovely place called Apple Annie's. This is a farm up against the mountains where there's enough in the way of springs to grow things; yes, Arizona *does* actually have something else to it other than desert. Apple Annie's has orchards full of peaches, apples, pears and all sorts of stuff, and fields and fields of sunflowers, pumpkins, corn, peppers and tomatos. It's a cool place, and every year we make a Halloween pilgrimage out to buy our Jack-o-lantern pumpkins and a whole lot o' other stuff. I came home with some GORGEOUS cheese, blackberry preserves, a 21-pound pumpkin and a few other goodies; all in all, it was a really fun trip. And this year I ran my ass off through the Corn Maze!

Good weekend with good friends and beautifully cool weather. And next weekend's Halloween, my favorite holiday of the year-- still dunno what I'll wear to lil_1337 's party but I'll come up with something. Hmm. Ferret-makeup? Could do that...
