Start at home
Worthington camp went pretty well. It was stressful at times, and the play turned out horribly, but the kids all had fun, and that's what matters most.
I've been watching far far too much HGTV lately. So much Design On A Dime, and Designed To Sell, and Design Star, and House Hunters. And now I want to buy a house...but I know that's still years off, so instead I'll content myself with making my new apartment as cute as it possibly can be. Today I got a damn good start. My mom and I went to several stores, and I started off just buying my silverware, because what we have at the house is all mixed and matched from all three of us, and I don't know what's mine and what isn't. So I bought a new set of silverware....but then I found a huge oval wood framed mirror...It's exactly what I need to hang above my vanity. I'm going to paint it to match, and it's going to be beautiful. I also got a pretty, silver, old-fashioned looking, 2-sided magnifying mirror for only $15. Woot! But, that's not where the excitement ends. The last place we went was the fabric store. I had been considering buying a new couch and chair for my new living room...but that would be several hundred dollars at the very cheapest. Instead, for about $75 we got enough material to cover my couch, my chair, and to make at least 10 coordinating throw pillows to go with! I'm super excited about my soon-to-be living room. I'm going to finally get the brown corduroy couch I've always wanted. And a green corduroy chair. Plus green/brown gingham, green/brown paisley, and green/brown floral pillows. It's going to be super cute. I can hardly wait!
Oh, I also got two really cheap, simple 1 piece bathing suits that were super cheap on sale, because one can never have too many bathing suits, and we're going to be at the beach for a week, so I'll want to have a few with me. Plus both tops I already had were halters, and those hurt my neck after a while, cuz my boobs are too big. I'm getting more and more excited to go to the beach. A whole week at the beach with my parents feeding me, and my nephew to play with.
