Life Update! How's everyone?
So, how’s everybody doing? I hope everyone’s doing great! It’s September now! That means it’s the start of the Christmas season here in the Philippines! Merry Christmas, fellow Filipinos!
Some life updates!
I’m doing better than before. I’ve been jogging/brisk walking for at least thrice a week. I’ve also been doing weight training and crunches. If it rains, I usually watch and do YouTube workout videos or just rest for a while. It’s ONE OK ROCK’s concert in two weeks, so I’m at least preparing to lose some weight! I’m also still working here at home. So far, life is good!
Last August 5th, I met Eric Nam during his fanmeeting at Market! Market! BGC. It was so much fun! He learned different Tagalog slangs. He also serenaded us with his velvety and sweet voice. He’s such a good-looking guy, too! I’m looking forward to his live concert here in Manila. 🥰 He also just released a brand new album recently called House on a Hill. It's an existensial crisis album that I know many can relate to. So, I hope you'll listen too!

And just today, September 15th, she announced that she has a new show! Huhu I'm so happyyy!
For Mone, she’ll release a brand new single entitled Hikari no Ato / Skip on October 25th. She’ll also be in London next year for the Spirited Away stageplay! I wish she would take a well-deserved rest and vacation after all her commitments. 🙏 Her schedule is crazy.

I’m already halfway through ONE PIECE live-action. I now understand why so many people love the anime and manga. It’s so much inspiring! Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji are such an inspiration. I’ll finish watching it once I’m in the mood again. I was also amazed with Macken’s sword fighting skills for this show. He totally nailed it! He’s the reason I’m watching this show! 😅😂

I’m also watching JDramas that are on Netflix. I finished Pending Train, and I liked it! Pending Train is a sci-fi/time travel drama set in Tokyo. This stars Yamada Yuki, Akaso Eiji and Kamishiraishi Moka. Moka pulled me to watch it. Being a time-travel drama also piqued my interest since I’m curious about such possibilities. If you’re into sci-fi, thriller and survival dramas, you’ll like this!
I also watched Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead. It’s an apocalyptic drama, but in an entertaining and hilarious way. This also stars Akaso Eiji. I guess the humor is not for everybody since it’s over the top. It’s for the Japanese audience and people who enjoy watching Japanese dramas/films. But, if you’re open to apocalyptic dramas in a Japanese comedic way, I greatly suggest watching this too! It’s about doing everything and anything you want in the world without letting anyone dictate you.
I’m still in the middle of watching Burn the House Down. This stars Nagano Mei. It was slow-paced, so I’m so sorry, I got bored. Huhu But, I’ll surely get back to this since I don’t want to drop shows I’ve started watching since they might get good as I watch. But, if you want revenge dramas, this show is for you!
I’m now watching Why didn’t I tell you a million times? starring Takeru Satoh, Inoue Mao and Matsuyama Kenichi, and I’m loving it so far. The flashback scene on the first episode was so sweet. I suggest watching this if you want your heart to flutter and cry! And OMG, these are the Queens and Kings of the JDramaland! Takeru of Rurouni Kenshin?? Inoue Mao of Hana Yori Dango?? She's now back in TBS! Matsuyama Kenichi of Death Note?? That's triple a treat!!
All the JDramas I’ve mentioned are on Netflix. I’m not watching any this season. But I’d love to watch VIVANT because of Sakai Masato, Abe Hiroshi and Nino! 😍 I’ve seen some short clips on Twitter of Nino, and OMG, he’s so scary! Sasuga! (As expected) I think that’s his expertise when it comes to acting. I hope Netflix will release this on their platform, too. Click the links on the titles to head to Netflix! For Fall season dramas, I'm looking forward to Paripi Koumei becuase of Moka and it's about the idol music industry in Japan! I was also surprised to know Dean is part of the cast. I was surprised when I heard him narrating the trailer in Mandarin.
For anime, I’m watching Jujutsu Kaisen and My Happy Marriage. I already caught up with the latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen. One episode was too brutal for me!! Huhu But, I want to finish this since the story is enjoyable and very much interesting! I also love the new opening theme! The opening theme is SPECIALZ by King Gnu. The song is very catchy. For My Happy Marriage, I’m still on episode 2. The live-action already premiered in Japan. I hope the Japanese Film Festival here in the Philippines can get this film. These two anime are also on Netflix.

I think I’m doing really well now. I’m more positive now and trying my best to live an active and healthy lifestyle again. Although there are still some days I feel negative and bad inside, I try my best not to dwell on those feelings anymore. I let them pass. I hope everyone’s well, and I pray we all receive our peace of mind. 🙏
