My Skincare Journey with Human Nature

I LOVE HUMAN NATURE SO MUCH! I first encountered Human Nature when I was still working for a corporate company. There was a bazaar, and one of the booths was selling Human Nature products. I had a terrible acne breakout, so I decided to try their acne defense products! My acne indeed healed when I used the said products. Currently, I’m using their balancing facial wash, balancing face toner, and sunflower beauty products, which are all effective. I’ve been using Human Nature products for 5 years already, and I think I will stick to this skincare line for the rest of my life!
What and Who is Human Nature?
Human Nature was founded in 2008 by Anna Meloto-Wilk and Camille Meloto, who are daughters of Gawad Kalinga founder Tony Meloto. According to Skoll Foundation, Gawad Kalinga (Tagalog words for “give care”) “is a Philippine-based movement that aims to end poverty by first restoring the dignity of the poor.”
What I love about Human Nature the most is that
they’re PRO-PHILIPPINES, PRO-POOR and PRO-ENVIRONMENT.
First, Human Nature is Pro-Philippines since they formulate products using ingredients that are locally grown by our farmers. They also prioritize Filipino suppliers so they can also help boost our economy. Second, Human Nature is also Pro-Poor since they buy raw materials from farming communities at reasonable prices. Human Nature also provides its employees with fair living wages, more than the minimum wage required by law. Third, they are also Pro-Environment since they make natural and biodegradable products from renewable resources. They don’t use environmentally toxic processes that may harm the environment.
Human Nature’s Natural Products
Human Nature's skincare line ranges from hair, face, and body care. They also have make-up products and products for babies and pets too! Also, Human Nature uses natural products from our local farmers here in the Philippines. According to their website, they are the “first cosmetics and personal care company in the Philippines to be awarded the distinction of being cruelty-free by PETA. Their products contain no animal-derived products and are also vegan-friendly.”
Just like I said, I first used their Acne Defense products. After getting excellent results, I used the Balancing Facial Wash and Toner since my skin is oily. I know my skin is oily, but I still use the Sunflower Beauty Oil for my face to just diminish blemishes. I also use this oil for my insect bites and wound scars. I also used their Exfoliating Bars (Strawberry and Vanilla). They smelled so good!
I recently decided to use their Sunflower Beauty Body Scrub and Sunflower Beauty Butter. I also bought their Sunflower Beauty Lotion (Sweet Bouquet), but I decided to use Beauty Butter first. I’ve been using them for a month already. I didn’t like the smell of the butter and the scrub the first time I used it since it reminded me of citronella. However, the scent grew on me, so I like it now. I’m seeing results now since my dark areas enlightened. My scars are also diminishing. The butter is not sticky when you apply it. My skin feels so smooth after I use it. I also tried the beauty lotion once and it smelled so good! I will use this after I finish the butter. I also bought Pore Clarifying Cleanser, by the way, for my clogged pores. I’ll write about it soon on my Instagram when I get some results.

P.S. - I have also used MINON Amino Amoist gentle wash whip for a short time, as you may have read before, but I decided to halt it since I got a terrible acne breakout. I went back to Human Nature right after.
