Come On Irene (Itoshi no Irene)
Before anything else, a huge thanks to JDoramaEigaPH for making this blockscreening possible! Also, thank you to Ms. Nats for being there with us!
I arrived at the venue around 3:30pm. I planned to come early since I always come from the South area. I helped Ruu; one of the admins of JDoramaEigaPH; to buy some drinks and snacks for the viewers. We bought so much bottled water and Piatos! Our friends from the group like Tina, Lare, and Kuya Ais were also there early. The viewers came one by one and claimed their tickets then the viewing started at around 8:30pm.
"Come On Irene" or "Itoshi no Irene" stars Amuse actor Yasuda Ken-san and Filipina-Cebuana actress Ms. Natileigh Sitoy. The movie tackles illegal arranged marriages between Japanese and Filipinos who are in deep poverty. Kudos to both of the actors' brilliant acting! I was also amazed at Iseya Yusuke-san's acting here. His English is also so perfect! This is a dark and heavy film so I greatly recommend keeping an open mind if you watch this film.
Just like Ms. Nats, one of my favorite scenes is the first kiss between Iwao and Irene. That was absolutely so pure! See the above photo for Irene's signature pose! She did this pose before the kissing scene. I also loved the murder part. That was also pretty intense!! I hope everyone who hasn't seen this will watch this too!
