Birthdays... mine's coming up. [His voice comes out nasally and a bit airy; he clears his throat, but it doesn't seem to do much.] May 2nd... Marlene's letting me share hers.
[He pauses for a moment to cough, then sniffs. He sounds congested.]
Rika thinks I should have a party. But... I don't know if we have any... any things for cake. Kaye, what do you think?
[He coughs again and sighs.] Not again...
[There's another pause. He's sniffing and coughing softly.]
