you can turn the city upside-down like an umbrella
but it won't keep you dry

for the busy mother's day holiday
i have been helping out wrapping flowers, &tc.
at this amazing flower shop in birmingham called blossoms
the employees are seriously the sweetest
tonight they offered me a job in sales part-time
and i officially start next week
this is really the perfect thing to happen at the perfect time
as i have only been living up here for a week
and plan to stay here permanently
next week i'm going to start the preliminary housing search
and now i can afford a place on my own
a studio/one-bedroom; nothing huge
i just need room enough for
computer desk, full-sized bed, tiny kitchen table
i don't even care if i have a television
and i don't even need a couch; not that i even own one now
it's funny how abruptly and swiftly life changes; it's nice
i wrapped flowers for at least ten hours straight today
i wish i was joking ! but god
it's good to get out of the house
transcription, though my love affair job
it's for the birds with this staying-in business
i nearly finished the card i started last night
i miss making things
i like dntel
and frankly
i'm tired of sleeping alone every night
there; i said it
and before i hit the pillow
thing number 6483 you don't know about me:
if i take a shower in the morning
and put my hair in a ponytail
when i take it out before bed
it's still very damp
yeah goodnight
