Presently, there are crayfish (Or big crawdads, for the Southerner in me.) roaming around, alive and cold, in my refrigerator. I repeat, three living crayfish, crawling around in my fridge. In a box that looks deceivingly like a box of chocolates . I was so excited to , only to be SHOT DOWN by six little eyes looking up at me. On a scale of one to ten, this startled me to about a 3. Not too bad, until I saw their little claws moving up and down…Which would rate around a 7, I’d say. I’m really a jumpy person, sometimes.

I carried the box over to my Dad and said “Explain yourself, young man!“ So he said “They’re samples from a seafood company blah blah blah“. (My family works in the food industry.)

I asked him if we would have to boil them alive to eat them, and he said “Well, no. I don’t know how to cook them - I just thought they’d be neat to leave around.”

That seems a little strange, but maybe I‘m just maladjusted to having animals creeping around my fridge? I'll go with the latter.

That's all I got.
