It has been a while since my last post, but that is because nothing of great significance had been happening. I did see Ice Age 2 and V for Vendetta which were two awesome movies. Two nights ago I saw Take the Lead which is also an amazing movie about ballroom dance in NYC, which is actually based on a true story which was cool.
Now for the excitement in my life. Yesterday while at work in the scene shop, I was working on fixing lighting so everything would be ready for Focus that night at 10pm. I was crawling around on the catwalk and put my hand on a connector. I felt a tingling start going through my hand at that point and quickly removed my hand. I told the Master Electrician, and he asked what it was. So I put my hand down again in the same spot to watch for where the feeling came from. This time the electical shock was much stronger. It appears that one of the electrical wires had frayed on the inside and one of the pieces had hit the outter screw holding the connector together; thereby making the screw electrically charged. I took a 20 minute break after replacing the cable and giving the faulty one to our Technical Director.
Electrocution isn't fun, I was tired for the rest of the day.
