I do love DC

Aug 05, 2008 13:04

So while I was at BB&T, I was chatting with the tellers because all three were either from DC or had family there. I mentioned how much I missed Taco Bell, when one of them told me that in no way was I supposed to walk to a Taco Bell when there were falafels to be had. The manager, who is from Charlotte, was also chatting with us and introduced me to a man in line who happened to be the owner of a falafel restaurant down the street- and since I had no idea what a falafel was- the owner walked with me down to his restaurant and bought me my first falafel.

They are really good, and I love this city. I know I have to be careful, and that I cannot trust everyone, but I really enjoy moments like that which affirm my love of the human race.

I put ketchup on it when I got back to work- it was REALLY good with ketchup. I knew if I asked for some while there, they would have laughed at me. You are probably laughing at me now too.

Stop it.
