You would think that after a game system has been out for TWO YEARS places would figure out how to keep them stocked. But no. My grandmother asked what it was that Natalie wanted for Xmas that I said was a big no-no. The Nintendo DS. I explained I don't think she is responsible enough, just yet, to be carrying around such an expensive thing. Plus Nate would want one too. Gram then asked if there was something like it that would be more for the family and I told her we'd discussed getting a Wii a few times, but that it is even more expensive. She said she wanted us to get one. So she sent us the money for it since she can't be going out shopping because Grampa can't get around well. Now, I personally could find much better uses for this money, frankly, but Grandma wants us to get that and a few games, since it is something the whole family can enjoy. Fine.

So Ben and I decide to stick to that, and that will pretty much be what the kids get for Christmas, except for some books I ordered from the bookorder and such.

So, I go look, EVERYWHERE, and they are all sold out. In stores and online. Ebay has some new... I will see what Ben thinks, I guess. ARG.

Well, we planned on getting a trampoline, and it costs the same. And the whole family can use it. So maybe we will just use this toward the trampoline later. But it isn't something they'd be able to use yet. GRR. I won't use it toward anything else. it is the family and kids Christmas gift from my grandparents. Last time Gram gave us money to use for the kids to go on a vacation, we had to use it toward bills that snuck up on us. We kind of made up for it by this thanksgiving visist paying for a hotel with a pool. But eh. This time it will NOT go anywhere but where it is supposed to go. For the kids. I'm really grateful to have such a loving grandmother.
