Random thought; I take myself and the world around me far too seriously most of the time. For someone who does comedy, this is bad.
So, my new idea is this; take something I said that is "serious," turn it around and make it silly. Let me begin with an excerpt from my most recent entry, which was about three weeks ago. This was when I was whining about that girl:
"I'll admit that, if that's as far as the relationship goes, I'll be happy with what we had. I don't want to be the kind of creep that hangs on and makes things awkward, and she seemed cool enough to just be friends with. But truthfully, I want more. I really felt a connection with this girl, not just a physical one. I'll probably only see her a few more times before she disappears into grad school forever, and that makes me very sad. If I didn't think it'd be too cheesy, romantic and creepy, I'd consider moving to where she is just to try to have a relationship."
If I had added something, perhaps it would've been a little less depressing. Perhaps, instead of "relationship," I say "oral anal sex," or "salad tossing," whichever strikes your fancy. This did not happen, but imagine how differently the text would be flavored.
That... didn't come out right.
Maybe when I'm less tired, I can come up with a more creative way to thwart that whole ennui thing.
