Dear Ms Chantho,
Further to your formal acceptance as my research assistant, the paperwork for which should have already been sent to you from Outpost XII in the Silver Devastation, I would like to add my own personal note.
Of all the candidates who applied, you were by far the most outstanding. It will be my pleasure to work with you on our long journey throughout the nine galaxies, studying the extent of universal entropic decay while tracing the nomadic paths of the remaining human civilisations from Galaxis Bright through Frontios and Hastus Major to Metralubit and Malcassairo and possibly even on to the fabled Eutopia.
I hope the years will be both fruitful and educational for the both of us.
