It was there, in the back of his mind. It never left, it never gave him a moment of peace or the brief salvation of silence. He thought that escaping Gallifrey might ease them, because they were the Time Lord's creation, after all. His mind was their vicious game of roulette.
Koschei was vengeful, and now the only company he had were the occasional noises of the TARDIS and that incessant, bothersome pounding. If anything, they needed a fight, blood, because this? This was not fair for him to suffer like this, they would reason. (Or so he thought they did-- nothing felt real anymore). He shouldn't be so very alone. So what did they urge him to do?
He had to find Theta. Or was it, 'The Doctor' that he called himself now? Koschei scoffs aloud as he turns a few switches on the TARDIS console so that it might come to a hault. The drums had a feeling, and he just knew where his rival Time Lord might be hiding away.
Earth.
When he lands and his Chameleon Circuit kicks on, he steps out, eyes narrowed, dark. He was ready for anything that might oppose him and Rassilon help whomever did.
