Do you remember your the first stories you wrote?
I discovered my love for writing when I was in seventh grade.My best friend at the time had started writing lots of poetry and I became interested.I realized ever since that I had many stories to tell and I could write about them.My first real story was ten pages long and it was about a mysterious boy that comes to a girls life and changes it forever.how cute!lol! My second story was the following summer and it was a twist of the tarzan tale.It would be a modern version.I never really finished it but I assure you the short lived Tarzan serie by the WB looked nothing like my idea for Tarzan.lol!
Where do you get the inspiration for your stories or fics?Does the story come to you in bits and pieces or like JK Rowling the characters are fully formed in your mind?
I can draw inspiration from quotes,objects or even how Im feeling at the moment.Sometimes I create a story based in one detail from a tv or a movie that caught my attention.Like say ,the other week I was watching this movie where the girl travels all over Europe trying to escape from her fathers bodyguards.What caught my attention was the whole traveling to all the different places and facing the different languages and cultures.Soon I started thinking about how cool it'd be if three friends decided to take that risk.Travel through the world,facing all the challenges that it implied and learn about life while they did.
I wondered if someone did that,how would they hourney be like and how would they be once it was over .
A new story was born except I'd have to make so many research for it to look believable and fun while not being Disney like. That doesn't mean Im letting the plotbunny go though.
So that's how my stories are born,its all about the small or bigger details. :D
Another thing I do is create stories from dreams I have.It can be fun because dreams can be really odd!
Can you post a quote(s) from your story,poem or fic?The world needs more quotes :)
It had happened so many years ago and whispered so many times to the future generations that no one remembered how it all began.The children often asked about the protagonist,if she had actually existed.Not one of the clan members knew the answer anymore,however there was a woman in town who affirmed that the story was true up until one point.She also sustained the fact that it had never ended up in a happily ever after as parents liked to make their children believe.
Her mission was over and after so many year she uncovered her eyes.All she saw were shadows and the bright light of thunders then her vision cleared and she tuned to stare at Maudlin,her companion.The cat purred and stared ahead.It was not afraid of water.The sky fell silent for a while and both of them took of to their home.By the next morning the small house was destroyed b the storm.The cat managed to survive and stay with the little girl.She was the one that would be there when the clock striked twelve twice years later.
- The clock strikes twice(Its supposed to mean that the clock reached the number 12 twice the night the story begins to develop)(2003)
II Today's crazy quote :::
"Wouldn't it be something if the little red haired girl came over here and gave me a kiss. I'd say thank you. What was that for? Wouldn't it be something if she said beacuse I've always loved you. Then I'd give her a big hug and she'd kiss me again. Wouldn't that be something! And wouldn't it be something if it turned out that french fries were good for you." - Charlie Brown
aww :D sweet.
Good dreams to you all *dissaparates*
