(no subject)
1. i just got back from a mission trip to bay st. louis, mississippi with the rest of the summer staff. (well, most of them.) it was an amazing trip. ashley and i tiled a bathroom. it was actually a lot of fun. we worked in the mornings till around 1 or so and then had time to play in the afternoons. unfortunately it rained every day we were there (like, hardcore thunderstorms) so even though we were YARDS from the beach, we didn't get to go play any. sad day. but i got lots of naps and reading time in. speaking of reading...
2. harry potter. i am so obsessed it's not even funny. i just finished order of the phoenix the other day and i'm about 200 pages into the half blood prince. (i've read these before, of course, but i'm rereading them in preparation for book 7). and yeah... i still don't understand how these suck me in like no other book has ever been able to do, but i'm not complaining. they're amazing. except book 6 keeps making me really sad because i know what is going to happen.
3. music... i have a ton of new music. i just bought the taylor swift cd from itunes today... it's amazing. if you like girl country/pop, aka carrie underwood style, then you will love this girl. it's just cute. and i also got the new kelly clarkson cd. i haven't listened to it much yet but it's really different and i like it. also, maroon 5 is absolutely amazing and i could listen to them all day long.
4. NEW ORLEANS. we went last night, and let me tell you, that is one fun city. i know i could never live there, and it's pretty scary, but we all had SO much fun. the ten of us walked around up and down bourbon street for awhile, and then we ate at a really good seafood place for dinner, then walked to cafe du monde and had some great coffee and beignets, which are kind of like mini funnel cakes. it was a terrific evening. i got a visor from bubba gump's... haha. it's great. i feel like a redneck in it, but it's okay. i put pictures up on facebook of the trip so you should go look and comment.
5. i miss grey's anatomy. and i wish it was still going to be good next season, but i have a feeling it won't be.
